Cold Steel SC97THKL Sheath, for 24" Two-Handed Katana Machete

Cold Steel SC97THKL, for 24" Two Handed Katana Machete, Very well made, looks very durable, and the sheath tip is protected, not to hurt the point of the Machete, for the price, and since now a days, its all nylon, not leather, this is perfect, and made very will for the price, and craftman-ship, I would buy it again, for sure, you will not be dis-appointed at all, and for the cost, if one does not hold up, its not gonna break the bank to buy a nother one, I give this a AAAAA++++++ all the way.

its an okay sheath to store it in. If you plan on carrying this machete, it is very hard to reinsert into the sheath. can't find a rigid option to fit this machete, I will just make my own.

This is a simple and durable heavy nylon sheath. The only drawback is that is is mainly designed to wear on the back and not at the hip.

Picture showed a wood sheath, but the item that arrived was the cordura sheath for the Cold Steel Two Handed Machete. Very happy with this product as my machete came with no sheath when they were first made. The locking mechanism is weak for the strap for your back. If you were to carry this as a sword on your back, I would sew the webbing together to make a permanent length. Although any adjust-ability would be lost, that is a moot point because you are not going to draw this machete from your back carry position as the blade length is just entirely too long (although I may mention I am a short guy at 5'3") you taller folks may be able to draw from that position. My main concern was protecting the blade from cutting myself or others during storage, and I now have a way to transport the weapon. For those who do not follow knife manufacturers as closely as I do, this machete is no longer made by Cold Steel. Any remaining product is worth getting as the cutting power is tremendous.

I just assumed that it would fit the "only" Cold Steel Katana Machete that cold steel makes however, it is 4 or so inches too long for the blade so the end of the sheath that is re-enforced is useless....wut do ya want for 12.99....

the sheath is a perfect fit for the machete , nothing fancy about it ,shoulder strap is easy to size and comfortable while walking

You won't get a better bang for the price... This is a great, low maintenance katana. Sure, a authentic katana is superior, but this one does not need the TLC of a katana and cuts right out the box. The sheath is cheap, but functional.

Just fit , on time, and makes it much easier to carry

It came in a small box folded into thirds, so there were hard creases where the folds were. Long story short it was a pain trying to flatten/straightening out the folds. Other than that the sheath was what I expected.
