VTech - V.Smile - Care Bears

Great product for beginning learners. Easy to navigate for young and old. Great animation and graphics. My daughter loves it. We recently went to visit my mother ... my daughter's grandmother in another state. We had just taken off in the airplane when my 3 year old daughter said, "mommy, I thought we were going to see grammy." I replied that we are. Then my daughter says, "we are going to see the care bears first...look at the clouds...where are the care bears?" It was the best. She expected to see the care bears jumping from cloud to cloud like they do in the game.

This isn't a bad game, it's just dull. Our 4 year-old avoids it but our 2 year-old loves it. You can't loose in any of the activities, so it is a good learning game, but it is easily the one that will be outgrown first. If you buy the V-Smile system for a very young child (2-3) you may want this one. Four year-olds and beyond will be incredibly bored by it. Go for Winnie-the-Pooh or Lion King instead and you'll get more bang for your buck.

My son and daughter love this. Occasionally they get stuck and need help, but overall they can figure things out.

I got this for my daughter. This was a great game for her and lasted a long time. It still is working.

This is a great starter game. My 3 1/2 year old started with the introductory game that came with the vsmile. That game seemed a little too hard for someone just getting used to the controls. We went to the Care Bears one and it seemed a little easier and better as an introductory. Now, she enjoys both games. I would definitely vote the Care Bears cartridge as good!

My 3 year enjoys this game as much as my 5 year old. It is not to complicated and really helps with shape identification. It is a great cartridge for kids on the younger end of the age reccomendations!

I recently received this game system with the Care Bears game for my pre-school classroom. We use it during free play times, and the kids just love it. For most, it's been their first exposure to video games, and they're learning the controls quickly. The letter and numeral recognition games are really helpful -- but an adult should enrich the gaming by asking questions or encouraging prediction. The adventure games are fun, though a bit difficult to get on moving platforms. We were glad to see that the characters are given unlimited lives - no one loses. While we would never rely on a game to teach our children vital concepts, this one does help them practice in a fun way.
