Don't waste your money on this piece of junk. I bought it as a Christmas gift. Imagine my horror last weekend when we were at the recipients house with friends. One of the friends asked how well the storm glass worked. My friend was hesitant in answering then finally admitted it hasn't changed at all. I was mortified! We have had snow, wind and rain and the water has not changed. Trying to get a refund was a joke. At first when I contacted the seller they asked refund or credit? Then they email me to say they can not issue a refund unless I return the item. I am embarrassed enough about the whole mess then Amazon told me I would need to return the item. I will not ask for the dud of a gift back!

I was so excited for this. I got it for my mom for a Christmas present she’s a weather fanatic and a collector of weird things. The glass tear drop has half the crystals frozen and stuck to the top. We let is rest for a few weeks like I said and nothing changed. We put it up side down hoping the solution would take the stuff off the top but I didn’t. Mom has it now sitting on her counter and it isn’t changing to any weather patterns. I wish I could tellThe company. Maybe mine is defective.

Just arrived with no instructions other than a very difficult to read Captain Nemo quote on the box. I dont think chunking it into the eye of a tornado is going to work so how about some large print, simple, explanatory instructions and explanations for us old folks.

Had this since Christmas and hasn’t changed at all, while the weather has been variable from 20s to upper 70s, sunny, rainy, cloudy, thunderstorms. I’d return it, but husband wants to keep it for “the novelty “ of it. If it doesn’t work, there is no novelty.

I bought it for myself. I always forget to look at the exact size of things, so it’s smaller then I envisioned. But very cute. I let it sit for a while, hoping it would adjust on its own to our weather, but I’m thinking I may have to heat it up and dissolve the crystals, to “restart” it. I’m sure being in Colorado don’t help.

if zero stars or negative stars were options I would give that I sadly missed my return window but I did a couple exchanges and none of them worked its 90 out it it still shows snow and it doesn't snow in Miami and yes I know there is a difference and I know what they look like its 100% snow in the globe no weather changes impact the globe please don't buy and look for anything else

I unfortunately have to say this is even less accurate than a magic 8 ball in that it does NOTHING. I bought it as an xmas gift for a coworker who should have been a meteorologist as much as he loves tracking weather patterns. This piece of raindrop poop has been on his desk UNTOUCHED for a month and absolutely nothing has happened with it. Save you’re money and open a window.

Followed the directions. Have kept it out of the sunlight and in a place it never gets disturbed. Basically it's a pointy snow globe. The stuff inside never changes, despite the weather going from blowing snow to 60 degrees to windy to sunny to rainy. Don't waste your money unless you want a dust collector.
