Item e-x-a-c-t-l-y as described.
Somewhat of a surprise for me. One hand - not two hands - Double action/Trigger cocking revolver shooting some seventy years ago. Very good !

This is a fun book to read and the information is sure useful
This is a fun book to read and the information is sure useful, however it could have been 10 pages long. I figure the writer was being paid by the word.Very repetitive in sections. I didn't need to be told a dozen times that the S&W M&P (now the Model 10) revolver is superior to any Colt double-action revolver. The actual bits on how to shoot are sprinkled in among page after page of fluff. However they are interesting techniques and I'm glad I know about them. Though I'm less glad I paid almost $10 bucks for it. I think 5-6 dollars is about the right pricing.

A wordy, rambling tome
As a speed reader, consuming this book is like trying to run through molasses. Redundancies abound, the grammar is clunky, and the author veers off on irrelevant tangents often enough to be tiresome and frustrating. That said, there are quality morsels of information sprinkled here and there, if you can gut it out. The repetitive drumbeat of S&W’s superiority over Colt’s DA revolvers turns a simple read into a mind-numbing sermon. If you eliminate the redundancies, ramblings, and tangents, this could be 10 pages of cleanly-written good advice. I’m glad I bought this on Kindle before ordering the book.

An ode the the Smith and Wesson revolver
I get it already! The Colt revolver is a distant second when it comes to double-action shooting . . . gee!Didn't learn much that was new.

Good read
It was a good book but a little dated. I liked the confirmation of some of the techniques I use in my own shooting.

INTERESTING BOOK FROM A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE
I thought this book on double action shooting was very interesting from a historical perspective. Even though I did not agree with some of his statements and conclusions, I felt that a lot of the author's views were in line with historical events that had a lot of impact on double action shooting. It was an enjoyable book to read and it held my interest until the last page. There are a lot of good historical facts in the book worth remembering. It was also good to see that someone would write a book like this. Highly recommended reading.

Outstanding and helpful
I bought this book first as a used one and was still delighted about the contents despite it had coffee, red vine and chocolade or whatever between the pages. So I was happy to buy a new clean print now. Do not expect glossy full color pictures. The value of the book is the text rich of useful practical information. It improved my own shooting results tremendously. Also techniques like staging the trigger pull using your trigger finger tip as trigger stop is described in detail. The book does not look like gold but the contents is "pure gold" in my opinion. Thank you Bob Nichols!!

A series of individual articles -- not a book.
This is less of a book and more of a series of individual articles. Since each chapter / individual article stands alone, there is A LOT of repeating information, which you will likely find annoying. This book is for the true revolver nerd that has the discipline to pan a lot of dirt to get a few flecks of gold.
