Queer Cosmos: The Astrology of Queer Identities & Relationships Paperback – November 12, 2019

Most astrology books I’ve read have been written by white cisgender females who make the topic so non relatable that I feel I’m reading a script for the tv show Gossip Girl instead of something I will gain knowledge from and want to pursue. I could not embrace the existing material as a queer cisgender man of color. Because of that, astrology has been one of this things for other people. I stumbled upon Colin and instagram and was immediately drawn to his passion for astrology and his overall energy. When the publication of this book, I figured let’s give it another shot. From the word go, the book had me mesmerized. It’s been a while since I did not want a book to end. Sadly it did but so happy this book cake into my life. Colin makes this super relatable and fun. I was never scratching my head wondering what the hell I just read. Thanks Colin

When I first started reading the section about Libras, my first thought was when did I meet Colin? Bedell says that Libras are all about peace - I say this all the time!!!! I even have it tattooed on my arm.I love this part about me: “...deeply focused on making sure everyone feels seen and invited to have a seat at the table...inclusion, connection, and conversation…(and here is the kicker folks pay attention) you would have no idea they’re concealing an inner anxiety that urges them to focus on justice” (p. 76). Holy sugar, this is me!!!!I could go on quoting the chapter on me, I mean Libras, but why? (laugh) If you want to know anything about me - read this book. It is so crazy how spot on Bedell is.For me, the love section would be more fun if I had any prospects on the horizon. It would be cool if there was a party and you could see who would blend better together. Or go to a speed dating event and start with, “What’s your sign?”I do not know if I will still be alone this summer, the book did not tell me that (laugh). It did give me an idea as to what sign might be fun in bed and who to avoid so I do not have to hear any drama.Queer Cosmos is a really fun read. If you are dating and live by the stars, I guarantee you will have the love section earmarked for referencing.I received an ARC of this book from Cleis Press and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.

Good book for the queers, tho I notice that this book had the zodiac sign in ending of July 21th ?? Cancers ends on 22nd depending on ur birth time. Was it a miss print? Is an alright book nothing I have read in other books. Tho this is for newbies and queers in horoscope and relashionships. Good for him. Just here supporting.

What this author brings to the table is so right on target, that it brought tears to my eyes just reading the introduction! I acknowledge and praise his insights and perspective, his verbal text hitting the mark in each heart of a queer person. He explores nuanced patterns within the LGBT community and then goes on to show how these interactive individuals relate Astrologically. His work is nothing less than brilliant!
