The ceremonies of the Roman Rite described Paperback – August 31, 2012

This book, first published in 1917, is THE authority on the rubrics for the Tridentine Mass. It has long been out of print. Alternatives include finding an old edition online (anywhere from $50 to $200), or buying the edition recently updated by Dom Alcuin Reid ($55). This edition is a photocopy of the 1920 edition and is sold for an unbelievably low price of $11. Anyone connected with the celebration of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass (priests, servers, sacristans, musicians) needs this indispensable book.

Very good reprint! This book is a print of a scan. It's mostly easy to read. Here and there some issues to read. Good price for what it is. Happy to have found this book in reprint and have already reordered it multiple times to give away.

Although this book is not for the 1962 Rubrics, things can easily be scratched out to bring it up to date. Or, if one is looking to study an older form of the Mass, this book is perfect!

For anyone who is interested in the Rituals of the Catholic Church, where they have their origin and what they mean. I highly suggest this great classic.

* Missing all of Fortescues famous diagrams and illustrations* Missing entire sections of the book. For example, the High Mass chapter (XI) includes only four sections. We know what the Thurifer does at High Mass, but nothing about the duties of the Acolytes, Sacred Ministers, Torchbearers, Cross Bearer, or Boat Bearer.This ebook is barely worth the few dollars I paid for it. A major disappointment, if not fraudulent

Great liturgical resource, inexpensive reprint.

Regarding the Kindle Version: the parts of the book that are there are certainly the book and it is what it proports to be. But, there are many sections that are missing. Huge omission

Obviously, I would tread lightly if attempting to use this for the 1962. The quality of the book itself is good, but some of the text (as it is a reprint) is extremely hard to read.
