These strips test your ketone level compared to 5 different concentrations of ketones which are each color-coded. The strips are very easy and quick to use, and I had no problem matching the color.I guess it's not the fault of these particular test strips, but I hadn't realized that your ketone concentration (by urine test strips) is entirely dependent on how hydrated you are. For example, two days ago, a urine test at a doctor's office gave the ketone concentration of 15 mg/dL, which, converted, is 1.47 mmol/L. Today I am less hydrated than I was then, and today my ketones using these strips came up as 4 mmol/L. I had not changed my diet.I think there is a pretty large difference between a result of 1.5 mmol/L and 4.0 mmol/L since the category shifts from "Small" to "Moderate" just because of hydration level, and not because there is any change in actual ketone concentration in the blood.So urine test strips are not a good way to go if you're looking for any kind of accuracy regarding concentrations. If you're just looking to see whether you're in ketosis, and concentration doesn't matter to you, then these work great.

I've used these now for a while. Didn't realize how short their lifecycle is. Most keto strips last about 6 months but definitely saw a decline in accuracy as I got closer and they basically didn't work after 4 and half months. These are good but would only buy a 90-day supply at a time otherwise you'll just be wasting them. P.S.: this is my experience from buying two bottles at the same time. Not saying that will be everyone's experience.

First of all, its my opinion that these strips work. I was able to tell the level of ketosis I was in and it corresponded to my diet and how I felt at the time. The poor rating is simply because they don't last. When you first open them, the test pad is puffy and absorbent. This is when you can get accurate readings. After a month or so, the test pad gets hard and shrinks (apparently dries out). After this point you will show little to no ketones.I originally bought two jars, and was very happy when I opened the first one. After a while I stopped ketosis and stopped testing. A couple months later, I started again and wanted to test. I was discouraged after about 5 days of no results. I opened the second jar and immediately saw the difference, bot in the test strip and in the result. After a month or so, I was back to where I was with the original jar. The strips dried up and were of no use.Ideally this company should sell packs of 30 on a subscription basis. Sending you 150 of them means that unless you are testing 5 times a day, you are going to waste well over half of them. I will probably try something else before I buy these again.

I can't tell what color this is! I waited the 15 seconds as the directions indicated and barely saw any color at all. As it sat for almost two minutes, I got the color pictured. I don't know if I trust the accuracy of these strips.

I used to use another brand that didn't work shorty after opening the sealed container. These are great! don't waste your money on a Keto blood monitor & strips that cost a lot of money. I had a friend try these who eats carbs and doesn't do Keto. FYI: since these are urine strips know that the results are delayed since it's not a blood test.... no big deal, whenevr you break Ketot drink 12 oz of water wait 30 minutes and test. Great tool learn how to use them. I love seeing the dark red results. I've been doing Keto for a year now. it works as good as these strips with discipline and time.
