Best Night ointment for Severe Dry Eye
This is my favorite nighttime dry eye ointment for my severe dry eyes. And being able to buy on Amazon and avoid a trip to Wal-Mart is a big bonus! This Equate Restore PM has the ideal ratio of mineral oil 42.5% and white petroleum 57.3%. I've tried others when I've run out of equate, that have much more mineral oil, and they just don't stay in my eyes. Please note that you may have crust in the corners of your eyes in the morning. It's normal. When I apply at night, I "rinse" my eyes first with 1-2 drops of a day time dry eye drop to clean out eye crust and wipe my eyelashes. When I wake up for the day, I use just 1 drop in each eye of the daytime dry eye drops to rinse the pm ointment from my eyes and lashes. This way my eyes retain some of the ointment, but not so much that it blurs my vision. I've found that my eyes feel moist past noon!

Not recommended
I was using Refresh PM ointment and ran out. Switched to this to save money. When I use this it makes my eyes look puffy the next day. After using it on a few occasions a few different people asked me what was wrong, said I look sleepy, said I look awful, and asked if I had been crying. It makes my eyes feel better but people say it makes me look awful. Refresh PM is a much better product for that reason.

Works as good as Refresh Lacrilube!
I was very surprised that this product seems to work as well as Refresh Lacrilube. I have a permanent dry eye and have used Lacrilube daily for over 25 years, so panicked when I couldn't find it anywhere. Very happy with Equate.

Works very well!
So far, it's the next best thing to Refresh Lacrilube. Maybe even as good.

Equal to Refresh PM which I can no longer find at a reasonable price
I have used Refresh PM Nighttime Ointment for years. This product is as close as I have been able to come to match Refresh PM.

Great substitute for Refresh P.M.
Much more reasonably priced than the Refresh P.M. product. Helps if your eyelids are not closing all the way (due to surgery or other reasons). It prevents excessive eye dryness overnight, while you're sleeping with the eyelid issue. Beware that once you put the ointment in, you cannot see much. Definitely, NOT for daytime use.

As good as Refresh PM
Decent cost for the same product. Will always buy the generic as it works as well.

Makes eyes blurry and it is very greasy
It made my eyes very blurry, even in the morning. I should have known this because it is greasy. If you don't read or watch TV when you go to bed, then it would be o.k.
