Not sturdy, not worth it.
It's not worth the buy. You read the reviews that talk about the larger stand being flimsy. Used it for the first time last night... yup. Its super flimsy, the mini can stand on it, but it's a balancing act and not good at all. Don't. Buy.

Perfect gift
Bought this for a family member for Christmas. They play DND and he is able to have it placed on his desk in his office or have it displayed somewhere.

Lots of fun
Easy to use and brought another dimension to our game play. Only complaint is that it is more fragile than it appears.

Changed from 2022 reviews
These now ship fully assembled and cradled in a foam-insert box instead of flat "DIY assembly" acrylic as some of the older reviews indicate. They definitely don't look like the video review that's at the top of the review page. There is no rocking or movement at all; these are completely steady, and if you told me they were cast as a single piece I couldn't disprove it. There are multiple altitude markings (1s, 10s, hundreds, and Ks). You can either mark altitude with a dry erase marker, or clip something on there. Small markers are included, but clips aren't. A small binder clip along the edge seems to work.

There are nice looking and functional flying stands for D&D minis
I am pretty happy that I purchased a set of these combat risers. They look nice and when they are assembled, seem sturdy enough to hold even metal minis of the corresponding sizes, though I admit I don't have any metal minis of the larger size. They can be disassembled and stored in a nice little plastic case (included) for storage and travel. My only two complaints about them are minor: 1. it would be nice if they could be a little cheaper. 2. The adhesive protective layer of plastic was REALLY difficult to remove. I was glad they were there to keep the pieces from getting scratched up, but it would be nice if somehow there was one corner with a tab or something that you could grab to peel off the protective sticker more easily. I could see myself buying another set someday for battles with more than two flying creatures, but as I said earlier, it would be nice if they could be a little cheaper without the quality suffering.

Sturdy, attractive, easy to use
These got a lot of comments from my players when I put them on my table. They look great and are very simple to use. As you can see from my photo, I marked the altitude on the stems with a simple dot from a red dry-erase marker. Most importantly, the laser-cut acrylic pieces make a very snug fit that doesn’t wobble. I even set a solid resin Gargantuan mini on top of the larger of the two stands and there was no problem with the weight. I’ll be using these for years to come. If there is one criticism, it’s that the numbers are slightly hazy to read through the acrylic, but that is truly a trifling problem and doesn’t take away from how good this product is. ***EDIT*** I stupidly missed that the “haziness” I was experiencing on the stands was because of a protective film on the surface. I peeled it off and it looks perfect! Apologies...
