Child's Black Second Skin Suit, Large

My daughter is over the moon happy about this. We purchased it for Halloween so that she could be a shadow and she has been wearing it around the house ever sense. I would say this fits a little bit small for the sizing chart. Before purchasing this I measured my daughter and compared her to the sizing chart. She would be a large. In fact, the suit should have been a little bit big for her. However, the suit fits a little bit small. I'm not concerned as it will be fine for the next week, Also, just being worn so much, it probably just won't last that long ( it's a thin material, just above nylon in thickness) However, for the price and her joy it is more than worth it. The face has a slightly thinner portion for viewing through. She says she can see fine. Also, this has a two way zipper from the mid-back and the top of the head. The zippers meet in the middle near the neck so it fully encases the child. I recommend pulling back the hair before trying to zip this up as the zipper is light weight. As a heads up for anyone looking for sizing. I purchased a large. My daughter is nine years old, 65 pounds, and about 4'8". This is maybe 1 inch too short, but otherwise fits snugly and isn't too tight. It's not super warm, and doesn't really allow for warm clothes to be worn underneath it. We're planning on a pair of longjohns to go underneath of this for our Pacific Northwest Halloween. If I had a choice to purchase this again I would in a heartbeat. Very pleased with it.

My son is 4'8". The overall suit fit but the hood (which is attached and does not detach) was very tight. He is on the smaller side so I was surprised that the hood part did not fit him well. Unable to zip completely. The body of the suit fit fine.

My son was the "constellation Leo" for Halloween. He envisioned being an all black universe with the stars painted onto an attached cape. Due to our timeline, we had to work with the suit as we got it. The fingers seams were mis-sown so that on one hand, the pinky and ring finger couldn't go in. On the other hand, the seams were sewn like webbed fingers instead of gloves so we had to cut the tips off both hands to allow for the hands to go in at all. This took away from the complete black effect. Also, the head was sewn weird so that the neck seam was at my son's mouth and it didn't fit over his head and onto his neck as hoped (and shown). He ended up having to unzip the head and leave it hanging around his neck. We love the concept but are disappointed with the poor quality of the construction.

This was great, until my son put it on and the zipper broke within the first 15 minutes of wearing it. The zipper was really awkward and could have been put on the suit in a better location. You have to zip it over the top of the head causing many choice words along with pulling out huge wads of hair. We are really disappointed with it, obviously it was a Halloween costume which my son never got to fully appreciate as it broke before he was able to wear it out.

My son loved this skin suit! He paired it with a light up mask and he could be anything. Only bummed was, for his 5th grade party he wasn’t allowed to wear a mask so he had to take the mask off- to include the head covering. It would be hard to put on by oneself, but there are 2 zippers, one for the body and one for the head. I did add a long string to the zipper to make it easier for him. Great costume! I think It did get a little area where the seam was coming apart in the crotch but no big deal, I reinforced it and we were good to go!

It would have been great, but it runs a bit small in length. A kids size L is Supposed to fit 12-14 yr old. ....my daughter is 11 and we can't fit the head part over her head. now cannot order another costume in time for Halloween :(

My son wore this for halloween. He’s 10 average size youth medium/large so I ordered the large. It fit well, I’ve even washed it on gentle (hung to dry) and it’s held up. He loved it!

Very form fitting, I agree with the other reviews, the head is way to small. We got a child's Large for my 9 yr old. He is 4'8 about 97 lbs. I can't zip up the back of the head! I might get face paint and a beanie.. not sure yet! Oh and it stinks!! We have aired it out for almost a week and it still smells funky. Cool costume for the price though.

I was pretty impressed with this costume. My son loves it. The quality is fine. The fit is good (bought a large for my smaller-than average sized 9-year old). So, I recommend getting a bigger size then you normally would.

pedí uno chico y me llego el grande por error el dia de halloween por lo que ya no tenia sentido cambiarlo. asi se lo puso mi hijo. no quedo ajustado (era re esperarse por el tamaño incorrecto) pero la cabeza estaba muy apretada por lo que no se lo podía cerrar. aunque me hubiera llegado del tamaño correcto las dimensiones de la cabeza no funcionarian

Very poor quality. The fingers weren’t long enough. The zipper broke the very first time putting it on despite the suit being tall enough for the kid. We had to return it.

I bought the size that would fit my son. The legs were fine but the torso and arms were too short. Couldn't even get the past the legs as the rest of it was too small. My son is 10 and he's a small 10 yr old and it still wouldn't fit. I think it wasn't made right. It's too bad cos he was looking forward to wearing this.
