Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way. This is a bootleg product.But for a bootleg, it is very well made. Very good representation of a classic part of the Super Mario legacy that Nintendo themselves do not care to acknowledge anymore. I don't believe a plush for this version of the character exists outside of this one. My only issue is that there was a thread hanging from one of the seams at the nostril, and the vacuum sealed package really did a number on his crown.It might not be a fantastic gift for a younger Mario fan, as this is a plush of the character King Koopa, AKA Bowser. But it's a design that they have not used since 1991, and even then, it was rarely used outside of the obscure Super Mario Bros. cartoon show. Kids today are more familiar with the video game incarnation of Bowser, with his red hair and eyebrows and orange body. Not to say kids don't have access to these Mario Cartoons, as they're on virtually every streaming service, as well as DVD, so if your young one is a fan of these ancient cartoons, by all means, pick up this plush for them.This is however a pretty good gift for Enthusiasts of the older parts of the Mario games or retro Nintendo.Now, if I could just get some plush versions of Ganon and Dr. Robotnik from the old DiC cartoons in similarly good quality, my life will be complete.

This is a bootleg piece of merchandise, not official by any means. However, it is surprisingly excellent quality for a bootleg! It's designed pretty accurately to the DiC cartoon version of King Bowser Koopa, for one. For another, the materials are very good quality. Also, while some buyers have complained about finding holes in theirs, my plushie thankfully had none. He was an impulse buy, but he's absolutely wonderful and worth every penny, especially since this version of him is never acknowledged by Nintendo anymore.

My autistic grandson loved this character, I actually got him several he loved them all.

His crown was a little bent but I shoved a paper towel in it and sprayed it with the water bottle then let it dry. Stands up straight now. My kid loves it.
