Sturdy frame that runs along the top of the lenses. Good curve to stay close to your face. HCL polarized lenses keep your vision clear. Pricey, but worth it.

I absolutely love by my Maui Jim Makaha style. This will be my fifth pair in 20 years. I have lost two pair due to my negligence and its been very hard for me to keep up with them even when I put them in their case but as far as them providing the protection I need from the sun's punishing glare they come through every single time. Because of my special needs my Opthalmologist is actually the one who first mentioned that I should get a pair and she was right they're lightweight they have the right color shading for me and they're very handsome to look at. If I don't lose them I scratch them but I will continue to purchase them and only them. I plan on my next pair being the tortoise shell design. Thanks so much Maui Jim company for continuing to sell this particular product some companies discontinue a style but I have been buying this particular one for over 20 years now I hope the Maui Jim companywill always continue to make this particular style. This is like my 5th pair. Great pair of sunnies - lightweight and fits well. I would recommend Maui Jims to everyone. I've lost a nose piece before and MJ sent out replacements promptly. They've also fixed a scratch on the lens FOC. However, I must share that I've had to replace each pair after less than 2 years of regular use. The bridge is the weakest part.
