Very nice tea kettle and very pretty
We enjoy this tea kettle very much. We make a lot of tea. The red is a beautiful color, and easy to rinse and clean. We like the ring on top of the lid where you can pull the lid right up when the kettle cools. There is the whistle feature that tells you when the water is boiling and ready. Very nice tea kettle.

Great and easy to use!
The surface is super easy to clean; a disinfectant wipe will work. The handle doesn't heat up with the rest of the kettle, so you can grab it without a glove and pour straight-away. The finger trigger is also working almost six months after use.

works great and looks cute in my kitchen
The media could not be loaded. I bought this over a year ago and it gets almost daily use. It doesn't leak, the whistle is loud (sometimes I put the kettle on and go do something in another room, get busy doing something and I forget about the stove - this loud whistle is a great safety feature in my opinion) and the handle stays cool and is comfortable. It holds enough (the capacity is good) and is pretty easy to pour. BUT - if something splatters on it and dries, DON'T try to scratch it off with your fingernail - the color coating is thin and easily damaged (a fingernail is pretty low on the Mohs scale...). Use a soapy sponge, and not a Mr. Clean magic eraser either. You can see how I scratched the finish and tried to cover it up with nail polish which didn't work. I'm not sure if it is fair to Cuisinart to dock them a star for my mistake, but, I'm wiring this review and I'm right handed and that's the side that usually shows and I'm the one writing this review so... it is what it is. Buy this tea kettle but just be nice to the finish (-:

As described
Does the job, boils the water, makes the noises, and it’s a pretty color. No complaints!

perfect
It's such a basic of most kitchens, you don't want to get it wrong. Little things in tea kettles can be annoying or a pleasure--this one avoids the bad & delivers the good. Spout high so no spurting of very hot water, you open the spout by the trigger on the underside of the always cool enough handle, it doesn't make a lot of noise (the last cheaper kettle I bought started with the Huuuuuuuh sound within seconds of starting to heat up, it can be filled through the spout (who needs to open the top?), and it's not huge (or tiny) but just about the right size. It looks nice (I got the coppery colored one) and cleans up easily so far.

Great for induction cooktops, not so great for radiant/direct heat cooktops
So hey, I have owned this kettle for 5 years now, using it 2-3 times every day without any of the issues cited by the 1-4 star reviewers. But, those negative reviews were pretty specific as opposed to the positive reviews which, in general, said that the kettle looked nice. I agree. I think it looks very nice however, praises for the negative reviewers because I think I have a partial answer as to why some of us have had good luck with it and others not so much. For starters, who really reads the kettle instructions? Well a number of reviewers did and those using the recommended heat setting to boil water seemed to have faired better than the rest of us who, crank the heat under the kettle to get a quick boil for that first pour over cup of Joe or that first cup of tea. (and yes I know that boiling water bruises tea leaves as my Dad was kind of crazy about his tea)So why have we had disparate experiences with this kettle? The short answer I believe to be simply, I use an induction cooktop rather than a direct heating electric element or gas burner. I chose this kettle specifically because it was induction friendly. This means that, although it is made from a stainless steel, it has a lower chromium content and a higher carbon content than other stainless steels. Higher carbon content equates to more rust. And oh by the way, most stainless steel will rust if you keep it wet long enough. Stainless occasionally needs a bit of air to do its stainless thing. Also, boiling water in an induction friendly vessel will not produce the high heat stress throughout the vessel that a directly impinging heat source will. That combination of high heat stress and higher carbon content leads me to believe that those reviewers citing overly hot kettle handles and premature rusting had valid complaints. The one reviewer who said the handle burned off and fell into the kettle really needs to install a residential stove top extinguishing system. (and yes I am also qualified to say that having recently retired after a 40 year career as a professional fire fighter)To sum up, this kettle performs marvelously well when used on an induction cooktop, but I surmise that it's not as good a fit for those needing to boil water quickly using convention stove top heat sources.

Gets too hot on a gas stove
The handle gets so hot you need gloves to pick it up. The spout cover does not stay open on it's own when pouring so you need to hold it open (it also gets very hot because it's in the handle.

Funcional
No es la gran tetera, sin embargo cumple bien su función dado el precio que pague.

Beautiful!
Works perfectly! Beautiful bold colour. Boils as it should on the stove top, with the proper whistle to signify its boiled. I’m loving this kettle. Was just what I was looking for.Delivered quickly!

I'm unhappy with the whistle
It's a whistling kettle with a poor faltering whistle. Not what I was hoping for.
