Juneteenth for Mazie (Fiction Picture Books)

Poor Verbiage Framing enslaved people experiences
The verbiage used in Junteenth does not identify enslaved people as such- also, it romanticizes President Lincoln's stance on the issue of enslaving people.I want to teach about Junteenth in the least restrictive, most honoring way.

Great Story and Teaching Tool
I thought this one was going to be too much for my 4 year old son but as soon as we finished, he wanted to read it again! He loved the pictures and said how pretty Mazie was. I’m thankful for the resource to help teach my small children the importance of Juneteenth!

A must have!
Loved! My three year old asks to read this almost every night. A treasure for any story collection. The illustrations are beautiful as well!
