I needed to step-up 5V DC to 6V DC. This worked perfectly.

They work as they should no issues.

Don't work, according to product photos it looks like there is older version of these. Maybe newer version is ones that have issues as there are some good reviews here.

I used one to boost 13 volts to 18 and it’s working great. When I tried to tune one to go from13 to 8.5 the board started smoking when I got it under 13. Tried it on another one and same thing. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have had them for awhile and haven’t had any issues out of them at this point I haven’t really put them through very many paces though fyi but what I have done no issues

I burned my fingers with some other inexpensive converter and, what a relief, this one powers my MAX6921+VFD driven by ESP32 just fine.

Used it to boast voltage from 5V to 12V, worked great !nice and compact

Out of 5 units I tried 3, first one didn't adjust the output voltage at all, no mutter the POT turning, second one did adjust the output voltage when no load was connected, once load was connected, it stopped adjusting and reversed to the same voltage as the input, third unit does work as intended, input 12VDC, output 20VDC, current around 1A, although it gets fairly hot, so I am not sure for how long it will survive. Returning the whole order.
