Speedball Art Products Canvas Pencil Case Holds Up To 120 Pencils, Rose

I have 5 of these cases now; I got my first one at a local art supply store about 30 years ago, the rest here on Amazon and have yet to wear any of them out! The elastic inside is very high quality, and even in the oldest case has not failed like elastic often does. I use one for specialty pens, one for specialty pencils, one as a travel kit for sketching supplies, one for crochet ( the elastic nicely holds hooks, small scissors, a tubular needle case, etc.). There is a little effort (VERY little) involved in getting things out and in the elastic bands because they are slightly tight, but that is precisely what has made these cases last so long and hold things so well! I have never had anything slip out of the elastic. If you need another reference, the well-known YouTube artist, Jazza, has several times shown that the leather-covered version of this case is his favorite travel case, but I prefer this canvas version because, being canvas, you can personalize it with markers or fabric paint, and I am very happy with the results I have had in doing so!

If you read reviews before buying, you already know that the elastic loops in this brand of case are a bit controversial...and I'm not going to disagree with that assessment. Individual loops for each pencil probably would have been a better design overall. That said, the current design isn't as bad as the worst reviews would have you believe. I bought this case to hold a set of 36 Derwent Inktense pencils, and I found that 3 pencils fit quite easily into the loops. Four pencils per loop was more difficult, but not as big an issue as I expected; I did gently stretch the loops by hand before use. I was able to put the entire set into this case, and still had a loop leftover to hold a few blender pens. With just a little stretching & 4 per loop, I definitely could have fit 48 Derwent pencils into this case--and Derwents are a bit thicker than some brands. But three per loop is probably the ideal amount for ease of removal and putting away.The construction quality is very good, with quality materials and nice, even stitching. The snaps on the zipper pulls are a nice touch. At least one reviewer mentions that it's a bit thick when closed, and I'd agree with that, but overall it's a fairly compact, portable unit that feels like it will be good protection for your expensive markers or pencils. I'll be buying a second one in another color for another pencil set I have, and I recommend it to anyone who wants an organized carrier for their art tools, with the caveat that you may need to go up a size to accommodate your pencils easily.

I really like the size of the pencil pack, but do not care for the spacing for each section. First, the spacing is a little inconsistent. But more importantly, it seems a little too boing for 2 pencils, while also being a little too tight for 3. I ended up putting 3 pencils in every other space. I didn’t want to risk damaging my Fabre Castell color pencils. Hoping this provides a little room as the elastic gives a little. Also, by doing it this way, it provides gaps for the pencils on the adjoining page to fall into, instead of being smashed together on top of one another.Not sure yet, but I might look at a case for packing pencils individually. Things to consider.

I bought two of this pouch and they are equally awesome. My pencils fit beautifully —not too tight, and not too loose. I am very happy with this item. Oh! And it has a snap to keep the zipper from accidentally opening and losing your gear.The only thing you should know is this: this pouch is only designed to hold standard pencil size pencils (think your regular Dixon Ticonderoga yellow pencils). I use all kinds of pencils. I especially love Sumo grip mechanical pencils (extra chunky) and Blackwing pencils (extra long). The case will not zip around the extra length of the Blackwing pencils and chunky pencils give you less space to use for storing writing implements. Aside from that, these are great and worth every penny.

I loaded up my case with my 48 Prismacolor pencils. They fit perfectly. The case is a pretty compact way to carry them and still have organized access. My other case jumbled them and not only did it risk breakage, but I couldn't find a color without going through them all. This allows me to organize them and find what I want! Seems well made and durable.

I have several of these pencil cases, at least one in each size they come in. This is the smallest of the cases and I use it as my go to for my most often used pens. The elastic bands are extremely tight, so be prepared to wrestle just a bit when extracting and replacing your pencils or pens (not a bad thing). I like that the case is sturdy, rigid, and very well made. The zipper is quality and zips quite easily around the entire case. I like that the zipper pull snaps into a spot on the spine of the case. It makes the case easy to store or toss in a bag for on the go.

The 120-size will hold a full set of Polychromos, but it's a tight squeeze. Hopefully the elastic will stretch out a little over time . Even when fully packed, it will zip completely and still seems compact.

I got the 24, now I bought the 48 in wheat. A note however it does not hold 48 - maybe if items are slim. I am still happy with it , very portable - I have ordered another. Still loving the little snap that keeps the zipper in place.

Love this pencil case ... i can fit 24 prismacolor ( 4 in each, easy ) pencils in the back opening... and 4 drawing pens/ 2 pencils/2 white gel pens/ 2 Derwent chinese white pencils/ a (4 color) ballpoint pen/ brown drawing pen and a 6 inch ruler, in the front. It's a very handy size to put in my small bag to take out urban sketching

I like how the zipper is held in place with snap. The spaces for the pencils also work very well and hold the pencils snugly.

Diese Transporttasche ist leider nur für dünne Stifte geeignet, dicke Stifte können nicht wirklich transportiert werden. Ansonsten ist an der Qualität nichts zu bemängeln.

Excellent product - holds pencils, zips up, nice compact size, & has a strong canvas material shell. Just as described. :)

I really like the elastics in this case as you can keep three or four crayons in one elastic. The case is a nice size and well made.
