NOCOHM462 Dual L16 Commercial-Grade Battery Box

The weight of the batteries that this is designed to hold is about 100 lbs each. With 200 lbs pushing down on the plastic of this container, if you don't support the center they will, at the very least, cause deformation in this container. I have the ability to weld so reinforcing and modifying the existing battery tray was not terribly difficult. I just ran stringers in between the channel iron where this tray would be supported. I have had zero sagging or deformation issues. My trailer was originally designed with a double car battery 12v setup that I originally upgraded to a double 6 volt in series setup. This is my second upgrade to L16 double 6 volt setup. Fortunately the tongue on my trailer was overbuilt and my upgrades have not caused any issues. The trailer definitely feels heavier when towing. So far I'm happy with the upgrade.

I have two (different sizes) of these, and I'm completely satisfied with them. I use them for weather resistant storage of tools and camping needs.

I have 2 of these enclosures for my (4) L16 AGM batteries in my home battery backup system. They are very durable. The cable holes accommodate my #2/0 wire for my inverter/charger. The enclosure is not completely sealed, I would not use it indoors with a flooded lead acid battery, unless modified to be properly sealed and vented.Only issue I have had is the top being difficult to close with my 12" long #2/0 battery interconnect cables. I think shorter cables about 8" long would solve the problem.

Great box for two L16 Batteries that weigh 125 lb. Each and contain the mess and cabling.

Used this to mount two L16H-AC Trojan batteries on the tongue of my toy hauler. Very nice and sturdy, easy to mount. I always use a primary battery fuse, it was a little tricky to mount a 100A thermal breaker directly on the terminals. Beware that it is not air tight, so an installation in an enclosed space would release hydrogen gas and create a hazard. Not a hazard outside on the tongue.

I know have 8 of these battery boxes in my house for my solar battery backup system. Work great, high quality, and much cheaper than making your own. Would recommend to anyone building a solar system.

Purchased two of these solid boxes, fits the L16's perfectly without a crazy amount of extra space taken from the exterior. Bit pricey but they are not flimsy so I suppose you get what you pay for sometimes.
