The EVIL ENERGY universal baffled oil catch can has worked well so far and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The build quality is good for the price point—the aluminum can feels sturdy, the fittings seal well, and nothing about it feels cheap or poorly made. The internal baffling appears effective, and it’s clearly designed to separate oil vapor and moisture rather than just being an empty container. Installation is straightforward, especially for a universal kit. The included hardware and NBR fuel hose are usable and functional, but I would recommend getting additional fuel hose. Depending on your engine bay layout and where you want to mount the can cleanly, the included hose may be a little short. It works, but extra length makes routing much cleaner and avoids tight bends or stress on the fittings. In actual use, the catch can does its job. It collects oil residue and blow-by that would otherwise be going back into the intake, which is exactly what you want—especially on higher-mileage or performance-oriented engines. The 300ml capacity is a good size: compact enough to mount easily, but large enough that you’re not constantly emptying it. Overall, this is a good value catch can. It works well, looks decent, and performs its intended function without issues. Just plan ahead and buy some extra fuel line to make installation easier and cleaner. For the money, it’s a solid option and I’d buy it again.

I don’t often leave reviews on Amazon, and this is the first time I’ve touched photos, but this is really just to quash some of the reviews I’ve seen where people saying, you know, the quality of this isn’t great. It, to me, for the money, it’s crazily good. It’s a piece of aluminium billet. It’s beautifully engineered. It feels really nice to screw the cap back in and out. Everything’s tight. You can even see the machining marks on it. It looks really, really good. I think the only thing to a couple of the reviews have been negative on quality, might that have been related to the vacuum nipples and the little bracket that sits behind it, and it goes on to probably not quite matching the quality of the actual can itself, but that said, for the money, I can’t believe the quality of this, and I’ve seen other things that are significantly more. I’m very, very pleased with it, and I am fussy, and very, very happy with it, and if you’re thinking about a catch can and perhaps you don’t want to spend as much money as Moroso or another brand, I think this one, for a 300ml catch can, is a really good buy, and would definitely buy these Evil Energy products again after this. Yeah, I think this represents value and quality, and for the price, I just don’t think I can fault it.

For the 2010-2015 Prius models, a catchcan is a very easy way to keep the EGR Cooler clean and to prevent a dreaded blown head gasket. Super easy to install but I did need a few bits and pieces from the car parts store (to be expected).

I'll go in details and give both pos and neg I installed onto my 2003 Mitsubishi lancer oz rally 2.0l the can is installed on the left side of the engine bay i used my own metal bracket and used the provided aluminum one as a templet you do need to do some fabrication (Make your own mount) as that's understandable since not one bracket will fit all so make your own here's the metal make it work hahaha so where it goes in the engine bay is on the left strut passenger side the car has pre-installed bolts just chillin so i made a horse shoe shape and wrapped over the AC lines since the lines are covered in a padding and the harder metal made it more sturdy if you want to know i went to wilco and got a beam support 90 bracket and bent it more into shape cheap and way more sturdy then what was given I'll add pics too where its at to better understand overall build of can= at first i was worried some people said the can looks cheap and feels cheap to mean its solid the only cheap part was most likely was the hose clamps as mine broke hahahah but can looks nice and feels nicely built hard to tighten fully but that's okay better then loose and fly's off mine has a scratch inside maybe during making or shipping? Might be from the dip stick? don't really know but again its inside so i don't care it didn't have any shavings so whatever dip stick idea on the can is niiiiceeee i would have wished for a outlet baffle maybe? since i notice depending on what you get i got the no air filter one with just the dip stick my can only has a inlet baffle and no middle of the can baffle to prevent sloshing or spit back i'm not to worried since depending how you build it and route you tubing fluids shouldn't go back in again overall build 8/10 -2 for the odd scratch hahaha and no outlet protection might be over kill on my part tho additional parts= well my hose clamps broke so if anything was cheap that was and the fact i only got 2 when i needed 4 2 for the can 2 for the pcv system the tubbing ports you get 4 total but 2 choices a massive one i couldn't even get the hose onto hahaha and the other one was the smaller one and it fits the hose better i used the smaller ones as it matched my systems flow better hahah the provided wool i didn't use again might be the cheap part but it feels like just steel wool not stainless steel so i got my own wool 2bucks for a 4 pack at lowes so what ever again its a your choice i assume but here if you don't care or need it right now situation the provided metal like i was saying i got my own but used the provided as a templet the provided hose dang they didn't cheap out here hahaha its gas lines so its pretty good if you ask me well built lines and easy routing little stiff but that's good on a vacuum pulled line you get 5 o rings 4 for the cans hose attachments and 2 can o rings 1 spare overall 9/10 -1 for the hose clamps and wool i'll add that in since its ehh to some now i'm going to explain this if you fall under this segment you might benefit from this can 1. lot of carbon build up and i mean a lot 2. you have room or your cars pcv system already has one and has bad build up like in the pcv ports or the tubbing 3. if you dont care about others saying "SnakeOIL" and make sure you get the correct one vented vs non vented as to me my car benefits from it its naturally asperated and all the unspent gases go right back into the intake manifold it was a 4 inch straight tube of rubber that even dipped down to the intake bodies port for the pcv so when or if the car spit oil it would just poor into my manifold i went on a 300 mile drive and the can already is working just 300mil and it had oil already to me thats a win since that would have went right into the intake body and everything else so yeah matters on the car and matters how you need it i needed it hahah if 300miles and it made oil in the can also when i said make sure you get the correct one some systems need a breather some like my car is a closed vacuum loop the breather is on the right side of the engine into the intake so the pcv for me would flip out if i had the dip stick out basically making a vacuum leak right to the manifold hahaha so make sure you have it correctly hosed up too and to the right line and have the right can bought overall i like it if they replaced the oil catch can with a logo would be siiiick but eh all blackout can would be cool too some models have logos mine just has the saying

I was surprised at the quality of this kit! its heavier material that I thought it would be. There's O rings on the can, the fittings and even the dip stick! The mounting braket was fairly heavy and ended up being a near perfect fit for my application (I just had to drill one extra hole). The included steel wool is enough for maybe 2 extra changes if the first piece gets gummy and dirty. Pipe tape is not included but that's becuase you're supposed to use the o rings that ARE included! If I had to complian about something it would be that I feel they couldve threaded the holes in the mounting plate instead of including screws and nuts that were a bit undersized and didnt come with washers. Other than that its a GREAT kit and I cant wait to run it!

I bought these to install on my 2009 Mini Cooper S R56. After much researching of how to help prevent carbon buildup on the valves of R56’s (N14 engine), I decided to buy these based on decent ratings and value. I installed 2 for the separate pvc systems. You can see in the pictures that one has collected a mixture of moisture and oil and the other strictly oil. If it weren’t for the oil catch cans, these would have ended up behind the valves and also burned up in the combustion chamber. That’s at around 3500 miles since the las oil change. The little dipsticks are helpful. Having to modify the connections and finding the correct barbed adapters was an inconvenience but required. There are plenty of videos online to help with installation. I highly recommend this kit which has most of what you need to setup.

I'm giving this product 3 stars. My first impression is that the catch can is sturdy, made of aluminum and is a very attractive accessory for under the hood and of high quality. The thing is almost as pretty as my first girlfriend. All of the fittings, o-rings and screws appear to be of very decent quality. The reason for the 3 stars is not because of the quality of the items, but for the quality or lack thereof by whoever designed the mounting bracket. It comes with 3 sets of pre-drilled holes but all of the holes are aligned vertically on the long leg of the bracket. The supplied bracket cannot be mounted horizontally on the catch can with two screws for a stable secure fit. The bracket is only 1 inch wide, and about 1 3/4 inch of width would be needed to drill a set of holes for a 2 screw mounting scheme. So I have 2 options. 1. Revert to 3rrd world engineering: Use 2 screw and either JB Weld or some other adhesive in place of a 2nd screw. 2. Drill another hole into the pretty red anodized aluminum bracket mounting tab on the catch can which is probably what I'll do. The designers mind is messed up in missing this small but extremely important detail. It's F'd up man, F'd up and a real downer.

Pretty straight forward haven’t had any leaking or vacuum issues have had it on for about a year now drain it every 3 months does the job collets the oil my throttle body is pretty clean now no more oil sludge seems durable! Definitely worth the money!

Works as it should. Installed well. Well made for sure.
