Implement Booher's Creative Recommendations To Boost Your Efficiency and Profits
The media could not be loaded. First, I invite you to watch the video portion of my review. Now that you have seen my video analysis, consider these additional strong points in Booher’s playbook for e-mail success.Because 69% identified clutter as a major problem—in a survey conducted by Booher Research Institute and the University of Northern Colorado--you will welcome her twelve detailed strategies to “cut the clutter.”When should you title your e-mail? Her recommendation: “You’ll find it quicker and easier to add your subject line after you’ve drafted your e-mail—not before. Why? Because the subject line should be a condensed version of your message and action statements.”Should you e-mail a colleague or should you go see her when you have a complex, potentially controversial topic you need her input on? Booher recommends sending the individual an e-mail first, to give the recipient thorough background information on the topic. That way, you pave the way to a more productive conversation in person. You will welcome the factors that boost the book’s readability: exceptionally well organized, packed with practical examples and jargon-free.As I suggested in the video segment, your business will benefit when you distribute copies to your colleagues, and then set aside a department meeting within two weeks to explore how you will apply the strategies that foster “fewer, faster, better e-mails.”

Learn how to reduce email clutter
The author started strong by listing 12 strategies for reducing email clutter. I read the whole book and picked up a lot of great ideas I already started using. If I had only read the first chapter and applied the 12 strategies she covers it would have been worth the time and money. Her examples of transition statements were also very helpful.I recommend this book to anyone who has ever thought or complained about spending too much time on email.

Great solutions on one my biggest headaches-managing the email. Booher gives practical solutions to the crazyI mess of email chains that go back and forth while accomplishing nothing. She provides specific examples of what to write to reduce stress and when to eliminate yourself from email hell. I like the strategies, the questions and the step-by-step guidance provided. Also like her straightforward tone in addressing what real business people experience and even ideas you could share as a leader.
