I used KwikWood to repair a large chip on the rim of my Dhol (Indian double-headed drum). The edge had lost a chunk of wood that was affecting both appearance and sound. Ease of Use: The putty is simple to work with—cut off what you need, knead it until the color is uniform, and press it into place. It has a workable time of a few minutes before it begins to harden, so you can shape it to match the contour of the rim. Performance: Once cured (about an hour), it was rock solid and bonded perfectly to the wood. It didn’t shrink or crack, even after tightening the drum lugs. The repaired section feels just as strong as the original wood. Finish Quality: The tan color blended well enough for my instrument’s finish, and it sands easily for a smooth, flush edge. I was able to stain it slightly to better match the drum’s tone. Durability: After multiple playing sessions, the repair is holding perfectly—no signs of loosening or wear. The rim now looks and feels intact, and the drum’s resonance is back to normal. Quick bond and works like a charm. Stuff is extremely strong yet easy to work with if you follow directions. Just mix, apply and wait a few minutes, bond is becomes super strong. Applicator keeps things no mess and reusable which is an extremely nice features to avoid waste. Would def recommend for all kinds of uses, this is the stuff super glue dreams it could be but never will be.

BEST wood repair product on the market bar none! I own a log home and it is wonderful for wood repairs from rot out to drill holes and carpenter bee tunnel patches. Wouldn't be without this stuff. Wear rubber gloves when mixing and applying unless you enjoy pucking hardened puttu off your fingers and hands.

Bought this putty to fix a wooden ramp by little dogs use to get on the couch. It worked perfect. It set up in 30mins & is as good as new. A lot cheaper than a new $100 ramp. Doesn’t smell too terrible either

Its basically wood once it hardens, sandable, stainable everything . I repaired an axe handle with it before dipping in plasti dip . I reckon itll fix most broken wood situations .

Dries very VERY light in color, so if you need to color match wood, be sure to buy some pigments to mix into the putty or you'll have a heck of a time blending. It doesn't absorb dye stain the same as some woods, so you may also have issues there. However it's incredibly strong and grabs the wood you stick it to for dear life and won't flake off. It sands well and you can file it too, but it clogs up files real quick.

This stuff really saved my wallet! I had to live in an apartment for about 6 months with my puppy who happens to be an avid chewer. She ate the entire corner off of one of the kitchen cabinets and nibbled along a couple of baseboards. I had just about resigned myself to the fact that I would be replacing the entire cabinet and section of baseboard at the landlord's premium but then I came across KwikWood. I am soooo glad I gave it a try. One package was the perfect amount to make all of my repairs. You have to kneed the components together to activate it, then I just kind of smooshed it along the damaged areas in excess so that i could later sand it into the right shape. At first, I was extremely skeptical because it had trouble sticking to the particle board of the cabinet and looked like it wasn't going to stay in place (NOTE: it's important to score or use rough sandpaper to prep the surface so the putty has something to grip). I left it alone to harden overnight and when I inspected it in the morning, it was solid and held fast. I used a small dremel tool to sand the cabinet corner flush with the rest of the cabinet, then i shaped the baseboard. The dremel certainly isn't gentle but this stuff didn't budge! The only problem that remained was the fact that it dries a sickly beige color. The baseboards weren't an issue- I just painted them and you'd never know the difference. The cabinet was tricky. I went with one of those touch-up wood stain pens hoping that the color would at least match. Thankfully, it did. Obviously epoxy won't take to stain like wood will but the color was spot on. Certainly not perfect but it was no longer an eye sore and it passed the final walk through. Awesome, versatile stuff!
