They get water in them

I love the look of these lanterns, that they have an on/off switch, and replaceable bulbs, but they definitely suffer some quality issues. They are located in full sun and I still have issues with a few of them looking very dim. If I flick them they get brighter so I think something is just a bad connection. Those that get dim will then look good for awhile and then go back to being dimmer than the others again after awhile.When I put these in it was still spring and the ground was nice and soft, yet one hook base broke immediately so I think they are not super high quality, especially for the price. I reached out to the seller for a replacement hook and they said they don't offer parts but could give me 50% off the price of one so I could get a new hook. I did take them up on that because I had ordered several and didn't want to be short one, but when a product breaks so easily due to a quality issue I don't believe the customer should have to pay (even half price) for a replacement to get a part. I would not recommend pushing them into hard soil in the summer because I expect they would break even more easily. These are not cheap lanterns so I expected better quality, hence the lower rating for value for money.I am keeping them because they are a very attractive product and suit my needs better than other solar lights, but I would love to see the supplier fix their quality issues and offer parts without purchasing a whole new unit.

The color is not accurately described. These are not copper colored. They are more of a gold or brass color.

9Getting ready to order my 3rd set! Not only are they beautiful they light up very well. I had one order sent to a friend that is 79 years young. For when she has to get up during the night and take a couple of her precious baby doggies out. She lives in a country area not far from the river. She never knows what is lurking around on the ground? Where security lights may not show it up. She loves these! I have my pair hanging in a Oak tree. The third set coming I will put out away from house somewhat. The price is good. I ordered on a Sunday night, they were here the next day! LOL Can't ask for more! Very well made!!!!

These are well built lanterns and hold up to high heat and sun here in Arizona. They are really not meant for lighting but more for absence.

Love this solar lattern, enough that I just purchased two more! Seems quite sturdy and well made. The crook comes in 3 sections that screw into each other, and since I have no reason to disassemble it, I used a bit of Elmers glue to make it more permanent. Very attractive lattern with the Edison bulb too. Descent amount of light.

Update. Company responded immediately to my warranty request and sent a replacement psrt. Now have two fully functioning solar lanterns. Great service. Thank you Lanterns look great but after a month and return date passed one of the lanterns began turning off after a few hours. Both Lanterns get full sun and at first stayed on till morning. now one lantern gives light for a couple hours, solar collector is clean, lantern is turned on and bulb is bright when on.

We bought these a couple of months ago to put in front of a dry stone wall at the edge of a ridge in front of our house. They do a great job - light is just bright enough, but not too bright. The quality of manufacturing is good. It remains to be seen, like all solar lights, how long these last. For now, though, five stars and very happy.
