Cost $165 Less than Leica-branded Shutter Remote
The media could not be loaded. Being an owner of a Leica Sl2s, I was looking for a remote shutter.The Leica RC-SCL6 Remote Release Cable cost $180! Why? This cost makes absolutely zero sense, unless there is zero competition for such a cable remote shutter or Leica branding enables the company to grossly overcharge for parts and labor.Looking for a reasonably priced alternative, I found the Pixel Wired Shutter Remote Control Cable RC-201 L1, which costs $12.99 as of September 2022. After doing some additional research, I bought the RC-201 L1 and a cheap pair of 3.5mm Male to 2.5mm Female Audio Headphone Adapter Headset Converter 3 Ring Jack Plugs--all of which work perfectly fine with my Leica SL2s (see attached video and photos).

Bought this as part of a Slide Scanner Automation project.
I am primarily interested in the cable and the connector to connect my DSLR camera to a micro controller circuit to work in conjunction with operating a slide project for scanning thousands of 35mm slides.The case came apart fairly nicely and I was able to de-solder the wires to redirect to my micro controller relay system. The fact that it has focus mode, threw me off just a bit, but was able to accommodate a focus phase for my project.

Compatibility is wrong
RC-E3 says it's compatible with a Fujifilm X-T200. It's definitely the wrong size connector for an X-T200. Worthless garbage.

The L1 version works with Leica SL2 and SL2-S
The L1 version works with Leica SL2 and SL2-S provided that you also use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter that has three black rings on it. This remote works and looks exactly like the Leica version that cost much more.

It works with Sony RX100 model vi
I got this to use with my Sony RX100 model vi camera. I was pleased to plug and use with pretty easy setup.

Works fine with the Panasonic FZ1000.
Pros: Works without issue; just plug it in and start clicking.Cons: Very plasticky and hollow-feeling.Overall: It’s about what you’d expect, a functional low-cost accessory. Single presses work reliably, holding it down works reliably. The materials feel pretty cheap and the few moving parts it has feel a little flimsy. I haven’t had this long enough to speak to long-term durability, but it might be worth picking up two so you have a spare.
