FROGG TOGGSMen's Hellbender ToadSkinz Fishing Vest

After 30+ years of fly fishing I decided it was time for a new vest. I’ve been pleased with my FroggToggs hip boots and wife’s felt bottom wading boots so I checked out FroggToggs’ Hellbender vest. Welcome to the 21st century! So far, used twice. More than enough zippered, waterproof pockets and D rings for four large fly boxes, strike indicators, leaders, tippet, split shot, phone, sunglasses, sunscreen, net, etc etc. Comfortable fit. Good looks. Durable high tech fabric. All at an incredibly low price, less than one quarter the price of a major name brand guide’s vest. I wish it wasn’t made in China but you can’t have everything.

This vest is well-made and has many pockets to hold a variety of tackle. The sizing for XXL is accurate.

Great product, best vest I've found for the price, you won't be disappointed, some people don't like the fact that there is no big back pocket, but I never used those in previous vests anyways, the material, zippers, pocket are all of quality, and the vest is conformed to your body more so than a traditional vest which is awesome. Lots of pockets, super light weight, strong material, very comfortable, you'll instantly fall in love with this vests, I'm a fairly avid fisherman, my favorite being stream fishing, if that fits your scenario thenables just go for it. I tried to find a new vest for months from many top brand stores, and nothing comes even close to the quality and price of this vest

The vest design is great, the materials its made from, the inner lining in particular, are questionable. For what I paid, I'm wishing I'd bought an old fashioned waxed cloth vest instead. I'm a fly fishing guide, I need to look relatively sharp, my partners do not want me presenting our company in a vest in tatters.

Recieved in exellent condition , Nice vest plenty of pockets for storage, very light weight should be good for warm weather fishing. Fits true to size I'm 5 ft 10 in @ 200 lbs seems large until a shirt or hoodie and a pair of chest waders is put on and pockets start filling up then it will be true to size, overall not a bad buy for the price

I love the vest and it suits my needs perfectly as a neophyte fly fisherman. More pocket than I need at my level on the learning curve. The fabric is very lightweight but seems relatively rugged. Very comfortable and lightweight when spending a day on the water.The only negative I have in regard to the vest is that on its second use the zipper broke! The zipper is not the most heavy duty which is surprising for an outdoor/sporting garment but should still have lasted more than two uses! Purchased a heavy duty zipper from Joann’s fabrics and wife is doing the install.Other than the zipper failure, I would recommend the vest.

I have used a few different fishing vests over the years, starting with an old WWII-era pilot's survival vest. This vest is fantastic! It has pockets for all the necessary (and not-so-necessary) things I carry with me on the stream. It's lightweight, and so far has proven quite durable. The fabric seems too flimsy when you first look at the vest, but you quickly realize just how sturdy it really is.My only complaint is that a large pocket on the back would allow me to carry a rain shell with me, but truthfully I rarely use one.I highly recommend this!

When I got this vest I was happily surprised. I noticed back neck collar has padded. It’s very cute and nicely done. My husband and I are both love it. So I ordered for my sons and brothers.

So I ordered 2 of these lovely vest, first one came with a black collar and black poly/cotton material and the second one as well. Both of them where exactly the same and not as advertise with the beige interior. The exterior looks awesome when i got it with the roomy large pockets. I would've love to keep them but I couldn't see myself wearing them on a hot summer day, sweating to death so i returned them.
