They are pricy now... but they are amazingly great for camping
The simple fact is that they are amazing for camping. This one is the brightest we've had... and we've had many many (we keep giving them away to people we meet from other countries). The only thing to know is that you want to charge a cell phone using the light as a the charge source, you will totally drain the lamp and only get about 20% boost to your phone. So, to be clear, that charge port (the USB) BOTH charges a phone AND can be plugged into a wall outlet to charge the lamp (but, I can't imagine a time I would ever want to do that). overall... GREAT lamp.

mellow light, long lasting charge, easy to carry around, etc.
I'm from California. We're having a lot of black outs. This Luci is amazing. It holds a charge for a long time. (& the solar backup quality is nice) I'm sensitive to 'color' of light. This Luci light is yellow/mellow (really don't like the bluish glare of a cheaper light we also purchased). While light s mellow it illuminates--- husband and I can read by it. BTW: we're keeping the cheaper one by another manufacturer, because it charges much faster (also loses its charge at the same speed)-- please keep that in mind when buying something that costs less. Do you have a grab-bag in case of black-outs? Please consider organizing an emergency kit. (The powerful Luci "Base" definitely should be a key ingredient).

Worth Your Money
I took them to a small cabin that I can only kayak to. The cabin is quite small, but one lit the whole bottom floor of the cabin. It easily lights a tent or a cooking area when camping. The light is warm and inviting. There are three brighness levels. The top level lights a room similarly to a 40 - 60 watt lamp. I have purchased three so far and will continue to purchase. They do not take long to charge, but you can speed the process by using the USB cable at home or with a solar power block.

These lights are great, but...
I love these inflatable solar lights. The batteries seem to last forever with just a little sun each day, unless...... you use the USB charger. I plugged in my phone, got it charged to 30%, and then couldn't get the lantern to return to full charge for several days. It's good for an emergency, but honestly, the USB charger was not as effective as I would've liked.

Charger doesn’t work
The media could not be loaded. Like many other people have said - it works the first couple of times. Then it won’t charge anything, even when it is fully charged. If the light didn’t work (2 months of use) I’d like to give it 0 stars. There’s Plenty of solar lights out there for ~$4. Bad quality for the price. Strap is also Very weak, it started coming apart after less than 1 month. I only used the strap to hang it in my tent; I carried it in my bag each morning to & from a sunny spot. Also started leaking air from an unseen hole ~1 month in, possible from the broken top strap. The inflatable part needs to be redesigned so the solar, charge ports & straps are sealed off from the inflatable part. Humidity from the air caused condensation & started to corrode the ports. I do not think that is why it stoped charging other items, as it stopped working only 2 days into a 67 day camping trip. It is still able to be charged by cord, so it’s not that the ports are too damaged. No idea why it stopped working, but it seems like the same issue everyone else had. Really glad no one was bit by a snake/injured, or needed their phone to call for help.

sturdy, pretty, useful — love it!
Nothing bad to say about this warm glowy soar-powered lantern.Worth the 10 oz. weight. Charges my phone, subs for a fire in the high country 🌲🌘🏔🦅🌲

Not worth the money
The bright light advertised only lasts about 4 hours. On the lowest setting it may last 24 or slightly longer but it is very dim on that setting. A flashlight or candle would be a better money saving option. It takes 12 hours in the sun to fully charge.

Versatile
Charges perfectly. I can last 3 days on a single charge without charging additional. I haven't tried to use it to charge something else but I did plug it in and see that it did show the charging symbol on my phone. I'm going to buy more of these!

No warranty in Canada - UPDATE
The media could not be loaded. After using it very gently for 3 or 4 times, this product failed. See photos. It simply does not start.Even though the company claims that they honour warranty for one year, they do not. When they responded to me, they said that they do not honour the warranty in Canada as "We currently do not ship internationally". Absurd. So if you buy this for $75 solar light and anything goes wrong after Amazon's 30 day return policy you're on your own.____________After back and forth with the company they did send me a replacement as per warranty. I've upgraded to four stars. A star off as it really should not take more than a month and multiple emails for a company to honour their warranty.

A nicely made device with a pleasingly soft light.
I was a little worried that this lantern would feel cheap and nasty given that it’s inflatable, but I was pleasantly surprised by them (I ordered 2). Be aware that there are different versions of these lanterns - 1000, 2000 and 4000 milliamp hour (mAh) battery sizes, with corresponding increases in run time, so be sure you are getting the one you want - and not getting overcharged for the smallest battery! The light itself is pretty clever, there’s a valve you squeeze to open and then pulling the lantern open will inflate it. There’s actually no need to blow into it unless you want it as full of air as it possibly can be and then you can just “top it off” with a quick bj for maximum fullness. Indeed, be aware that if you blow into it, you will introduce damp air which you might (or might not) find annoying, since there’s no way to clean inside. Once open, press a button once, twice or three times for each of the three power levels. Level three is easily bright enough to light a small room. In a small tent, you’ll probably find level one a nice level and all three have a pleasing soft light that in my opinion is only beaten by an actual flame. Not the cheapest, but glad I doing for a couple as they are bright and fold pretty flat for transport. Oh, one more thing: Although technically they are solar rechargeable, in practice it takes too long to do this, so unless you camp in the desert, don’t rely on solar alone.

A perfect all round lighting solution
Just returned from a very wet and windy camping trip. The Luci performed flawlessly around the general camp site and also on the lower power setting inside the tent.
