Good Soundtrack
I purchased this cd just for the 1 song, St Elmo's Fire. I really don't care for the whole soundtrack, but since I couldn't get / find the "single", I purchased this. Guess I really cannot speak for anyone else as to if it's a good or bad cd. But, if you love the Hit Single, then it's certainly worth buying this.

I ordered this for my guy...he loves this movie. We watch it at least once a month..and he couldnt find the soundtrack locally.I ordered it from Amazon and made him a happy guy!

I especially liked the first song
I especially liked the first song, St. Elmo's Fire Man in Motion by John Parr. He does an exceptional job of singing. I am pleased with my purchase.

What can you say about John Parr's theme song? You know you still sing along to it when it comes on the radio....so buy the album. Just watched this movie on cable last night and was SO glad I had the cd this morning.

Fantástica banda sonora para una excelente película.
Hay ciertas películas que cinematograficamente hablando sabes que no son gran cosa, pero que te llegan dentro: por edad, por afinidad situacional, por estado emocional, por música, etc. De la segunda mitad de los ochenta hay algunas películas que me impactaron. Y esta película y su música, es una de ellas.Temas que se adaptan a la trama de una manera impecable. Música inmortal, extraordinaria.

No need to watch the movie each Xmas
This year, it suddenly dawned on me - this was a film of my 'non youth', just watching other folks having the fun I didn't.What still pulled me in each year or so was the music, mainly the main theme... which is unbelievably good.So now, I'll just put this CD on and it let the film upset me :-(
