Very Good Product , lost my digestion and some mental execusion levels after using pink salt for 8 years how stupid I was that I wasnt replinshing my body with Iodine took 11 drop X 2 times per day for 1 month and lowerd dose to 1 drop a day sorted for life very peaceful and great digestion .

We all know iodine is a vital component of our diet. If it is deficient, it can lead to goiter or dullness in growing children. That's why the Indian government introduced compulsory iodine in table salt in the 1960s, to ensure that everybody gets the minimum required amount for healthy growth. But remember, iodine in salt evaporates real fast. Further, due to soil erosion or depreciation, our natural foods don't contain enough iodine for our needs and hence supplementation becomes necessary. We need to eat a lot of seafood or live near the sea, which enriches the soil with iodine. If your doctor prescribed iodine drops for you, the brand's supplying Lugol's iodine are the best. Like Vit.C, iodine gets expelled from the body if in excess of requirements, so it is a safe supplement but still, check with your doctor before taking it.

Very effective. Number of drops to consume should be decided with caution. Upto 2 drops daily is no problem. People taking Thyroid Hormone medicine must check their TSH every month and adjust the medicine and Iodine dose accordingly.

People. Lugol's solution is not a supplement, please do not take a drop of it everyday. Iodine is extremely toxic and can potentially kill you.Frankly this product should not be on amazon because consuming the entire bottle can potentially KILL you. I did not know this and have luckily not been stupid enough to not consume more than 4 drops over 14 days. Again please be warned and consider switching over to supplements not more than 100-50mcg a day. Avoid taking iodine supplements if possible as your needs would mostly be met through iodized salt.It is SAD that there is not a single warning label or any sort of awareness regarding this.RDA of iodine is 100mcg and 1 single drop of lugol's contains 2500% the RDA ie 2.5mg.Iodine also depletes your body of vital nutrients like calcium in the long run and may also cause iodine induced hyperthyroidism and destroy your internal mucus linings. You don't have to believe anything I blindly say, but please do your research before you consume this product orally.Overall quality of the product however is really good. It should be fine to use in other applications such as disinfection of water.
