As I age, my recollection of the prose and books I enjoy become blurred,I can now reread all of those great classics.

I am enjoying this compilation of the greatest Masterpieces. I love reading books that I was forced to read in high school but now, as an adult, I appreciate each one. Now I know why these books were called Classics: great writing and wonderful storytelling. ( Although, I will never get James Joyce) . How will never get through every book in the collection is beyond me but I am sure going to try. I highly recommend it.

I read the whole book, but in the end I lost interest in the second.

Like others have reported, this download screwed up my Kindle causing frequent freezes and reboots. When it's not doing that, I think it's a great collection, but it's just not worth the hassle of dealing with a screwed up Kindle. There are plenty of other free Kindle collections available. On the other hand, you can always try it, and if it screws up your Kinle, simply delete this book from it.

All of the greatest novels that have helped shaped our current culture and all of modern storytelling in all forms. All for the price of a saver menu double cheeseburger.

My fist Zola. A black novel in more ways than one. One is in the vein of Les Mis, so be warned, it's not a barrel of, in fact no, laughs. But well written and translated so I felt compelled to read on. The titre also has two meanings too. But now I've read 1 book how do I go to another, I seem to be locked in to that 1 book!?

An amazing collection of masterpieces. Great to have so many "must reads" in one volume. This is what Kindle was created for!
