Very easy to use, worked great. And has a great feature over the half-moon shaped, which is that being completely round, you don't run the risk of dropping the bolts inside the timing cover. Would definitely recommend.

This particular product did work good the only thing is when we were trying to line up the water pump to the timing gear I'm assuming this tool moved the chain and gear just a little bit closer to the block therefore making where the water pump sits in on the back side a hair shorter I had to use a little bit longer bolts to start the threads it was very frustrating at first and then realizing that that was the problem it went easy

Can confirm this works with 03+ saab 9-3 2.0T's (pretty much a retooled turbo ecotec) takes a little more effort than the half moon but this makes it very hard for a novice to mess up since it covers the whole hole for the waterpump sprocket. Almost no risk of dropping anything into the timing cover with this.

Needs to removed a water pump on a Chevy 2.4 Needs a special Water pump tool. Got the tool next day working perfectly.

The product is designed well and the price is very reasonable. However, I would caution anyone using this product to make sure you have enough room between the inner fender and the front of the engine. I used this on a 2006 Malibu and there wasn't enough room to get the bolts lined up and started when reattaching the timing chain gear to the water pump. It was like building a ship in a bottle with mirrors. If you have limited space use the other brand that is shaped like a half moon, not a full circle like this one. I bought this because it will prevent the bolts from falling down into the engine. The downside is it limits access to line up and start the bolts.

WORKED GREAT WORTH THE MONEY.

Works as it should and better than Lisle's semi circular one because it will save you from not only dropping bolts inside the timing cover but also by holding the sprocket (gear) in-place when you take out the pump. However it is important to know that even if you use the tool (this or any other brand for that matter) to hold the sprocket in-place from moving and the tensioner from recoiling, there is a high probability that you will have to adjust (loosen) the tensioner. If you get the whining noise after replacing the water pump you will have to open the timing cover. Ecotec water-pump replacement inside the engine bay is a frustrating job. Use all three bolts that are provided to tighten down the tool to the sprocket and also make sure to secure the tool to the block (to prevent movement) by using bolts of the access cover. Thank you
