Contrary to most reviews for this item, I actually paid full price for it. I have to say that the item works exactly as advertised and I am very happy with it.I bought it because I was having trouble with my car's battery, which would wake up completely dead every now and then.The device works as advertised: it was able to start my car (with a 3.5 liter gas engine) at least 5 times on a single charge (it can probably go more than 20 times, I just didn't test it). When I used the device the car battery was completely DEAD, I could not even unlock the car by using the remote. Once connected to my car battery this gadget made it feel like my car was normal: starting the car is as easy as it is on the car's own battery.I also tried charging my phone from the device and I can confirm that it works, although I did not test it extensively. It seems it could charge a smartphone 3-4 times. I did not try the laptop charging.

Haven't used it to start a car yet but have used it to power and charge other devices. Seems to work well. Will not charge my Dell laptop as it requires a 19.5 volt supply and this device provides 19.0. Not a complaint.... just an observation. Impressed enough that I bought two more for gifts.UPDATE: I had an issue with the voltage selection capability. After a few back and forth emails, the company replaced the defective unit and the new unit works fine. Good customer support!

I bought the 16500 mah jump starter and it works great, I use this on a weekly sometimes daily basis for work purposes. No issues jumping dead or weak or batteries.

I bought this in Feb of 2016. After charging, it has been sitting in my car, awaiting use, I top off the charge every three months or so. The time finally came that I could use this, great, I got this. I pulled out the unit, depressed the power button and it broke off and fell inside the unit.Yes, the power button, when depressed, fell inside of the unit and, to top it off, didn't power on the unit. I was stuck with a dead battery and a dead jump starter. A couple of calls and an hour later, got jumped by someone with an Anker unit.We'll see how good the warranty and return process is, I will update this review with myUpdate 1: Contacted seller via Amazon, advised of the problem. They replied within 12 hours and offered to send me a replacement, no charge. This version is discontinued and no stock available to send a replacement, instead, they are sending a newer, better unit, which should arrive tomorrow. I have updated my review to 4 stars. I will wait to get a new unit and make sure all is good. Their communication has been exactly what I would expect from a reputable company.

Nice compact size. Tow truck driver actually recommended it to me. Said that he jumps at least 10+ cars a day with it between charges. Much smaller and easier to handle than my old "battery box" Also like the fact it has connectors for other things like laptops etc - haven't use them yet though. Saw others similar to this one but I decided to purchase the exact one the tow truck driver used to jump my car (my battery box had died).UPDATE:Today I just had to use this on my car. The car battery was completely dead. Not even a faint glimmer of light from anything. (Had left stuff plugged into the cigarette lighter and powered on for over a week) Car parked in garage and I was about to get out my large AC battery charger to charge the battery, but I decided I would give this a try. (when tow truck driver jumped me last time (see above) car battery still had power but not enough to start car) I hooked this up and the car started right up without any problem what so ever. With my 'old' jumper box I would have to let it sit for a couple/few/++ minutes before it would deliver enough power to jump a dead battery.I am so happy I purchased this. I took my 'old' battery box out of the trunk now that I know I could rely on this to get me out of a jam.Very impressed since it's such a small size and could start a large V8 engine with a completely dead battery.

I did not know if this really worked but thought it if did it was safer than someone jumping my car if needed. I saw a commercial on TV for a product almost like this. Same company but this one was a little different. After my sons car was fried by jumping another car (they obviously did not do it right) I bought the second one for him. Well long story short moms vehicle had set for two months while she was in rehab at nursing home for a fall. I went to start it and it was dead. Got this out of my car hooked it up in less than five minutes hit the starter and it started up immediately. Took it off the battery let vehicle run a while and drove it home to charge the battery by driving it a while. So this does work, it easy for a 62 year old woman to do by herself and works exactly like they say it will. I am hard to please on everything. I always feel that the manufacture is out to make money and take us for a ride. This one will take you for a ride exactly like you are supposed to go. I am happy I have it. Don't have to sit and wait on help. Hook up and go.

It comes with short but thick, high quality alligator clips with an inductive wrap on the positive to connect the jumper directly and safely to the battery (remember to clip on negative last ans remove negative last!)
