Absolute must if you hate the little 1 lb propane bottles
We have a Camp Chef Ranier stove. Although the little 1 lb propane bottles work fine, they add up to a significant cost if you use them a lot. And refilling them (yes, you can do it) is a pain and you never seem to get a consistent fill. The Bulk Tank Hose Adaptor solves all those issues. The fittings are made of brass so you do have to be careful. Also, the hose is a little more flexible than I like but it works nicely for storage. We have two 20 lb propane bottles we use for our backyard gas grill, one we keep full and the other attached to the grill. When we take off camping, mostly for weekends, we just grab the bottle hooked to the backyard grill and make sure it is at at least 1/4 full or more. For longer trips we grab the full bottle. When we get back from the trip we just hook the bottle back up to the backyard grill or put it back in the storage area. The Ranier will run about 6-7 hours on 1 lb of propane. Throughout the day and evening though we like to have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, popcorn, and hot water for our camp showers. Plus we usually cook all three meals a day. We learned that the 1 lb bottles just wouldn't last the weekend for us. With the bulk hose adapter we never have to worry about running out of fuel.

Should work fine
I haven't as of yet used the hose but it seams like I got the item as described from the posting. When I first opened the box and started looking on how it would hook up to the New Camp Chef Oven, I thought I purchased the wrong item. I want to use a 5 gal propane cylinder and not the small individual one use cylinders. I'm used to the hose with the regulators attached and when I was confirming that the hose would fit I noticed that the regularator was missing and that the fitting wasn't the right one to connect directly to the oven. On reviewing the manual, yes I read them, I realize that Camp Chef ships the regulator with the oven. You attach the regulator to the oven and then then hose to the regulator. We setup a field camp for four weeks in the summer and the small cylinders would be too expensive and wasteful. This hose will work well and will save time and money.

better than the rest
I tried this Camp Chef tank adapter, the Century brand, and the Coleman brand. The adapters on the other brands were trickier to screw into the connections. This Camp Chef adapter screwed into the connections with less difficulty. The other two brands had California prop 65 warnings on them. This is probably due to the lead in the brass fittings and possibly phthalates in the rubber tubing. The Camp Chef adapter probably has the same issues but there was no warning label included. I would give it 5 stars if I knew for sure that it doesn't contain harmful chemicals. Overall, this one seems to be the best of the bunch.

Worked Well - Recommend
This is a no brainer converter for any camp stove if you're looking to connect into a large propane tank. The hose feels is strong and flexible. The connection is seamless and secure. I read other reviews complaining about the plastic rotating connector but I didn't experience a single issue with this product. I think some people over-tighten the adapter to the point of breaking it which is just silly. That extra half-inch turn is not going to stop a leak.

Well made, safe hose adapter. Stop using the disposable bottles.
This adapter hose seems to be of good quality. Its been working just fine the last few times I've used it. I bring a 5 lb propane tank along when camping and forego the green disposables. Much more economical. I've primarily used this with a Camp Chef Everest High Output 2 Burner Stove stove. Throughput of the hose keeps up with the burners at full power just fine. I've seen reviews on Amazon for adapter hoses from other manufacturers stating that they swell up or appear to have poorly connected fittings. It goes without saying, this is a tremendous hazard when dealing with open flame and flammable gas. I experienced none of this with the Camp Chef adapter hose. The others may be a bit cheaper, but I personally wouldn't risk it.

Did what it was supposed to do.
I used this hose to attach my Stansport Outfitter Series 50,000 BTU Output Propane Stove to a refillable bulk propane tank. It attached easily and works perfectly. The rubber is flexible enough that it's not a big deal how the bulk tank is placed relative to the stove. Especially at 5 feet long. I realized after using it the first couple of times, gas gets stuck in the hose (this isn't a design flaw, it's just physics,) so I generally turn off the bulk tank flow and allow the stove to burn off the rest of the gas before turning off the stove. Otherwise, don't bring the hose inside for a while.

Does what it needs to do, but that price though...
It would be nice if these hoses were universal, but evidently they aren't. Bought this to go with my Camp Chef Everest stove and it works perfectly. Worth over $50 though? Honestly, no... But if I wanted to use a bulk propane tank for this stove, I didn't have much choice.
