Bannockburn: Battle of Kings

I bought this for a visiting friend, the disc is now in the Czech Republic. She is an adopted Scot who loves Scotland. As it is the Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath, next year, I wanted to bring her up to speed on this part of our history. She is a school teacher and has a thirst for knowledge. I’m enjoying revisiting the history of my country. Watching it on a CD makes it more enjoyable than ‘just’ reading about it. It has more impact.

I think that it was just ok. I found the effects to be a bit annoying after a while and it seemed a little shallow. Having said that it was educational and showed Game of Thrones is no more violent than reality.

This is not as I expected, the history side is good but it was more like a documentary than the film I thought it would be.
