It's not awesome, but it is worth the low price
The media could not be loaded. For the price of what you get, this should easily be a 5 star radio. I am going to rate this as a 4 star, but many of you may be frustrated to the point that the unit will feel like a 1 or 2. Here is why: at first glance it seems like this unit is packed with an unbelievably amount of features for a super low price. The problem becomes that some of the features do not behave quite as expected. For me, a better manual or reasonable support would have gone a long way. First example, I saw a Chevy bow-tie logo on the screen in a review video; how do I upload a Mazda one for my car? You have to select from the ones available. Okay, not a big deal, but how do I do that? This is in the manual, but just not where you might think. Setup>Video>Select Power Logo. Next, Bluetooth. I have an AT & T iPhone 6+. The unit quickly paired and displays the name of my phone. However, oddly it does not provide any music information while streaming music. Again, not a big deal, just a little surprised; you would think it would take advantage of having the 6.5" screen - nope. The bad Bluetooth part: for me if I attempt to answer an incoming call by pressing green answer button on unit, it does answer the call, but the unit freezes with the exception of a running call timer. No audio can be heard on either end of the call. You must turn power off and on to bring the radio back to life. Here is the weird part: If you answer the call by using the button on the phone, my iPhone takes the call and switches audio to the phone, then select audio Bluetooth to the radio, it connects fine. In other words, audio is heard and head unit stays responsive. Furthermore, if you initiate a call from the head unit, it also performs normal. Sound quality, noise cancelling, etc are not awesome, but it works. The radio does not seem to pick up stations as well as the stock stereo did. Also, in the radio mode, Volume 0 is not completely quiet; however, since I don’t really listen to the radio, this didn’t bother me. If you do, and are getting this more for the backup camera capability rather than Bluetooth, this may not be the best radio out there.Speaking of which, back up camera feature (camera not included) works great. There is a standard video input and a lead to connect to the +12V reverse lights which will automatically switch the screen from any mode (CD/Radio/etc) over to the camera. At first I was disappointed because it muted the sound, but turns out that setting can be turned off. Not shown in the manual, but when you’re setting the logo mentioned above, you’ll also see Setup>Video>Parking Video Mute.Plugging my iPhone into the radio via USB to see if head unit would display music info and album art resulted in an error “Device not supported” this may be because mine is the 64Gb model. I say this because the unit return the same message for a 64Gb USB flash drive. The unit did read a 2Gb one, as well as a 32Gb microSD card.A movie DVD played previews, but never seemed to find the menu screen. My wife’s Season 7, disc 1 of Gilmore Girls played fine. Resolution is very bad. (Remember, this is a cheap player…be glad to be able to view DVDs)Some reviews complained about the touch screen. This screen is not like a modern iPhone or tablet. They have a glass screen that actually senses touch (not press). Wet your finger and see how well your iPhone screen works. This screen is plastic, and has two very thin membranes that you actually press to squeeze them together to indicate what you’re selecting. Having a wet finger on this type of display has no adverse effect. Once you understand the difference, that you have to physically press rather than simply touch, this screen is fine. It is low resolution (compared to iPad, etc), hard to see in day, really bright at night (it does not auto dim)…again, this is a cheap radio. While there is a wire to connect to your car’s lighting, it only controls whether the letters around the volume knob come on, and ever for them it’s either off or full bright. The screen does have an off button at the top, but any adjustment such as volume up/dn turns it back on. It would be nice if you could turn it off and it would stay off until you touched the screen, but nope. (no Biggie right).I thought it was nice that this radio has PreAmp outputs for front, rear, and subwoofer. However, in my case, since the jacks are right in the middle of the back of the unit, connecting the cables, even with right angle adapters caused the unit to not seat all the way in. Maybe for most, this won’t be a problem, it was just frustrating because I was looking forward to using this feature. The other weird thing, is that the SubWoofer PreAmp output is on a pigtail. I wished they did that for the others. Since I already have speaker to RCA converters this wasn't a big deal for me. Speaking of which, since I have mine configured like this and connected to a 50W x 4 amp, I cannot really comment of the stock sound, but my setup, using the unit as a pre-amp, sounds great. The EQ settings are really just Bass and Treble presets and a loudness on/off. Again, cheap radio; my stock unit only had the same. The subwoofer does not have a level adjust, so I use my amp's remote gain control. The last and for me the most frustrating great feature – the steering wheel controls. For me connecting it to a 2008 Mazda 3 did NOT require an adapter. Thank you to “DEAL CHASER” for pointing me in the right direction. The manual is completely useless on both how to wire and how to program the unit. For my car there were 2 wires in factory location pins 9(N) & 10(P). I connected one to radio “KEY 1” and the other to ground (or the car chassis). The other radio “KEY 2” is left unconnected. To program the head unit, go to Setup>General>Steer Settings. Ignore at bottom Default. Also Setup can be toggled between 1,2,&3, but seemed to make no difference. For my setup, when you first enter the Steer Settings page, the buttons shown where greyed-out and Voltage showed “-.--V”. You first press a button on the steering wheel, then the greyed-out buttons turn white. Select the corresponding button (it will turn yellow) then press OK at bottom. Notice that Map Num:0 at top increases to 1. Repeat this for all buttons then press X in upper right corner to exit. So, not a great screen, Bluetooth not perfect or feature packed, maybe not the best reception, lights don’t dim or match your interior, and if the manual was better maybe people could get more features out it. All in all, for the price and now that I got everything to kind-of-sort-of work, it’s not a bad deal.

Not super impressed, but it is cheap....
Okay, I received this to install in my car, and though it works well, there are just a few issues that I have with it. First, the display is not the best quality, again, "you get what you pay for." It is low resolution and pretty pixelated on some of the finer details like the balance/fader control and smaller icons/text. It's not a deal breaker, but it certainly doesn't appear as in the photos of it.Next, one of the reasons for purchasing this unit was the AUX IN. I already had an HD Radio tuner in the car, and thought to just attach this to it. It works as intended, however, the AUX IN is really meant for VIDEO. So, if you have only L/R RCA jacks plugged in, and switch to AUX IN, then you get a blank blue screen. I wish there were a way to turn the screen OFF in this mode like in the regular modes. I wish the FM modulator on my HD receiver worked, but it doesn't. What a bummer.Lastly, the touch screen is not very sensitive. Maybe it's just me being used to my phone and my tablet, but activating any of the icons on the screen with this radio definitely requires more persuasion AND precision. It borders on the point of being very frustrating if you're operating the vehicle. Again, it's super cheap, so didn't expect much, but this is just FYI.Now the good:Radio reception is excellent. I was picking up stations the factory radio (Honda) wouldn't even detect. It's almost TOO sensitive, so if you live in a rural area, you'll probably love it. If you're in a metro area, though, be prepared for lots of stations! -- Thankfully it does have a Local/DX setting if you're getting TOO MANY stations!Bluetooth works wonderfully. I was able to easily and quickly pair it with my phone. I don't foresee using this function very often, but at least I know it works well and is easy to do. I tested it with some streaming radio apps; Tune-In, Amazon, etc. I like that the main screen even shows a little "Bt" icon when the Bluetooth is activated. Good show!Independent volume memory. When playing a CD, the radio, or connected via BT, the radio has a volume setting memory. I noticed in other radios this is something lacking, and you usually have to play around with the volume control whenever selecting another source to get the same level. Not with this one, it "remembers" your volume setting per source. Way cool.Lots of power. Pair it with some Lanzar (my preference) or Planet Audio basic replacement speakers, and you will definitely hear an improvement. It really woke up the PA coaxial speakers I had in the doors. In the rear I actually decided to UPGRADE the speakers to straight neodymium woofers instead of coaxials since the unit can provide plenty of rear fill for your listening.FINAL VERDICT: Well, after about 2 years, the "bargain" quality of this unit is starting to show. Radio reception is getting worse and worse. I've removed the unit, tried to jimmy the antenna connection, and no improvement. Secondly, this thing can't keep time worth a flip. It will get faster and faster, and in a matter of weeks be an hour+ ahead. (Maybe it's just my car?). The amp is going out, I keep having to turn it louder and louder, what used to be a "17" on the volume scale is now up to about a "22". Lastly, one of the annoying features, if you have the radio off, shift into reverse, when you shift back into a forward gear the radio turns itself on. What strange behaviour. The Bluetooth works well, however, and I'm thankful for that, because that's really the only way I listen to this thing nowadays.

So far So good Everything working well.
I just got this one today and so far I am very happy with it. It was a good buy for the price. It was very easy to hook up (although I am a bit of a techy so that is not hard for me). What I like the most is that is has a micro SD card which i like to use both for music and for listening to my teachers lectures in school. It is has all the basic functions. The DVD player works well. The Bluetooth connects well for listening to music from my phone, and bluetooth has more control options from the screen than stereos without the screen do, so it is easy to control the music from the screen instead of from the phone. What I really like about pyle car stereos is they seem to have the best reception of FM stations, better than most any other brand I have tried, and although this head unit can do so much more than fm, that is something I still use the most. When I tried my , thands free calling to call my voicemail I thought the mic level was low, but when i called my friends they all say they can hear my fine. On my cell phone i use either the regular service or google voice to make calls and i think the google voice is louder. If i end up with problems with voice level i will edit my review. I like that this unit has a built in fan in the back. I know some car stereos break with overheating, having a fan might help this one last. At the same time i think it makes sense every few years to disconnect and take it apart to clean out any dust. I also like that this unit does not have a detachable face. I think those tend to break more. So I think this is good quality for pyle but still I recommend the extended warranty for peace of mind and because the regular pyle warranty would make the buyer pay for shipping if something broke.
