child's writing skills
Evan-Moor's Daily 6-Trait Writing, Grade 3, is an outstanding resource for parents and educators. It cultivates strong writing skills while making the learning process enjoyable.

I currently have four kids homeschooling, and 6-Trait Writing is INDESPENSABLE for our family.
All my children benefit from their daily lessons. It's just one page per day, so it's a nice warm-up before our other studies. It's also simple enough that the children can do each of their pages independently, leaving me time to finish my preparations for our school day. There's a great age-appropriate grading rubric in the front, with tips for teachers/moms, and a general overview of the year's expectations. Before each week's worth of lessons is a short two-page teacher's guide that I can quickly breeze through and get a firm idea of what concepts we'll be focusing on for that week. I find that some homeschool workbooks have far to little teacher guidance (or none at all) while others are far too in-depth (for example, I wouldn't recommend purchasing the teacher's guide for Handwriting Without Tears. There's just far too much information.). Daily 6-Trait Writing has found the perfect balance. I don't feel pressured to spend hours reviewing and preparing for each day's lesson, but there's enough guidance provided to meet my needs.I do find that the grade levels on this series might be leaning a bit toward the easy side, but that would obviously depend on knowing your children and their strengths/weaknesses. We don't skip grades in the series, but we do tend to move through them more quickly, sometimes doing a few days' worth of lessons in just a few minutes. Because of this, my fifth grader is working through the seventh grade book, my second grader just started his third grade book, etc. This is by no means an entire English curriculum in a book. To meet your child's English curriculum needs, I would recommend combining this book with Building Spelling Skills, Englishsmart, Writing with Ease, and a LOT of trips to the library.

Fine i guess
Just basically reading comprehension, delivered early as well ! , but i don't think it will be appealing to kids its not really interesting , or easy to write on .

Lesson Plans for the Week and School Year
I LOVE this book. It is great for helping you cover the basics for good writing and preparing students for accountability testing. It covers everything from idea selection to adding details, organization, etc. It also covers the conventions such as capitalization, contractions, punctuations in a concise format with an extended writing activity on Fridays and development for the writing in the preceding 4 days. I would highly recommend this for individuals who are not sure where to start in an expository writing instruction. A math teacher could teach writing with this book>. Worth the look!
