The dimensions were accurate, within my ability to measure them. The 1.5 mm was just right, but the 7 mm was too much for my project. I taped it is place temporarily, and used a utility knife blade to scrape it to the approximate height I needed, then finished the process with the utility knife blade and sandpaper after gluing. The Shellac top coat I used adhered well. I was restoring an A style mandolin. Everywhere except the sharpest curve where the binding meets the neck, painters tape was all I needed for clamping. I use 4 inch strips about every inch. At the neck, I actually had to hold it in place with with a flat blade screwdriver blade until it set. The Bind-All glue I used set quickly, and I only had to hold each side for about 10 minutes. The final result is great.
