Great net
I purchased the Power Extend 2427 first off all because limited space to store a net in the boat and secondly because we fish waters with multi species of fish. It is not uncommon to catch Northerns in excess of 30 inches while fishing for Walleye that are smaller but still require netting. I see reviews that say that the secondary handle is too weak. This net is designed to be lightweight and easily stored, which it is. If you want a fence post with a net on the end, this is not your net. Once the fish is netted, use the added handle at the yoke to land it vertically. One issue that I had was that the extended primary easily retracted by just the resistance of the net being pushed into the water. The yellow release for the primary handle is adjustable. It has a brass pawl that can be accessed by disassembling the yoke ( Take lots of pictures) . I turned mine out ( counter clockwise) one and a half turns. Too much and the pawl wont come up and out of the hole in the handle and it can’t retract.I also found two screws inside the yoke that were stripped and wouldn’t tighten up. I added a drop of serviceable thread locker and cured this issue.Overall I’m happy with this net, it is definitely better than a fence poll.

ATTENTION
The reviews about it breaking are not entirely true. If you hold one spot and press the “telescopic handle Release” button and let it extend full force and slam the stopping tab, it would plausibility break. Just support it and guide it when you extend it and it’s all good. Best bet I’ve ever beheld. The 24x27 is way way bigger than I imagined. First land was a 38 inch flat head and it plopped in the net like it was nothing. Coulda held two 40 inch flatheads. With the price of rods these days, this is the best you can get for the $ and quality

If you buy this product do these things. It is a great net but with some reservations.
So, just an awesome net...if it doesn't break....handle is great for landing larger fish. Netting is great on not hurting fish you need to release. Hooks are easy to get out of net if they get caught. But... It has both some quality and design flaws. Yes, the black cap handle on back can fly off or easily be pulled off...fix...so...pull it off and put on some epoxy and put it back on so it doesn't come off. This is probably more related to your buddies not knowing how to open it and pulling the handle hard, effectively breaking the cheap adhesive used at the factory, then when you push the button, it extends quick and cap flies off. Issue 2: handle release button on mine broke after very limited use. Frabill had me send it back...COST $$$...and they said they would send me a new net. 30 day return/replacement cycle. They don't have parts to replace the cheapo plastic release button that they should be able to send you for easy fix.

Handle Grip Comes Off and/or Was Not Included in Replacement
The overall quality of this product's construction was good, but the handle grip slipped right off when I first used the net! Thank goodness I was holding the net handle as well, or bye-bye $160 net. I ordered a replacement and when it arrived, it didn't have the handle grip in the box! It had apparently fallen off already before it was even packaged for me. I didn't want to give this product a third chance, so I'm planning on trying the Bubba version of this product next. Too bad. I heard great things about Frabill prior to my purchase(s).

Solo fishing
I use this net for carp fishing in tournaments at night. A lot of times I am by myself with no help and therefore this is a must-have. I can Bank every fish that I catch if I can get it close to that net. Not only can I see the fish but I can see the net. Would highly recommend

Alaskan Fishing at its finest
This net worked great to obtain the first silver of the day! Released the silver into the boat and back over the gunnel to rinse the net . I pull the net back out of the water, but wait I only have the rubber grip off the handle. CRAP, I'm scrambling trying to get the net back into the boat, but I'm fighting the incoming tide and the outgoing wind so its 6 Ft. away and oh by the way it doesn't float. Please let me know why this rubber grip handle isn't permanently attached to the handle? My heart has just sunk as I realize there is no way I'm jumping into this 49degree water to get the net, Prince William Sound in Alaska has now claimed this net.

Ease of use
Size of the net itself. Light did not work will have to change battery. Back handle grip came off no big deal will secure it. This would have been 5 stars if not for these small issues.

Trop lourd
Mon net a briser dès la premiere utilisation . Le bouton ne fonctionne pas, aussitot que tu fait vibrer le net s'ouvre automatiquement , donc tres difficile a gardé fermé. Le net est aussi beaucoup trop lourd **
