Decent Hardware
Good Hardware crippled by dated firmware and poor support. This NVR is part of the Linksys Small Business line. Both this unit and the HD IP cameras seem to be good quality and should be for the price... Useable but better firmware and software are expected at this price point.

Does NOT PLAYBACK the recordings!
The LNR0208C is working and recording and able to view Live feeds. BUT, the Playback feature is NOT functional. I started working with Linksys to get a solution/patch which they agree is needed however was told it could take months. SO we can currently only record cameras but can't view them.

Great hardware... but dated firmware.
Great hardware.... but dated software/firmware. Wished it would have mobility options. Or even playback options on iPad. Playback software not user friendly.

I use three Sony Ipela camera VM600 with this NVR. It's a competitive price for the feature when I bought it 6mo ago but not anymore. SYNOLOGY has one similar and competitive pricing.Two star bc the NVR works but the GUI has a terrible firmware bug (CS escalated to level 3, engineering) but they are no help. Playback GUI is horrible, scrubbing through the recorded events is just horrible, gives error for no reason.DON'T even buy it if it's $200 on eBay - IT'S THAT BAD
