MarineLandAmmonia Reducing Resin 8 Ounces, for Chemical Filtration in Most Freshwater Aquarium Filters

This Deionizing Resin is a great product. I tend to over feed my fish (I try not to but it's hard) and this stuff keeps my ammonia levels down. I just got some mesh bags and put a spoon full of resin in each bag. I placed the bags inside each filter housing and let it go. I change it out every 2 weeks when I do maintenance. I did a test on my 20gal tank and stopped using the resin and within a few weeks my ammonia was back up. So in my opinion, it works.

Good if you want just charcoal

The review that said it turned Brown in Brown immediately if they would wait-a-bit longer they would have noticed it turns much more Brown. It's a great product that does exactly what it says it's going to do

Misleading description

I thought this took the place of carbon and boy was I wrong . Within days my tank smelled so bad I couldn’t take it anymore so I decided to switch it out and put fresh in there and within minutes it changed to amber ( color it changes to when it goes bad ) . I was shocked to see how fast it went bad on me . It did not help with ammonia and I believe it actually made things worse . I know whatever that smell was sucked really bad . Since it’s 2 am in the morning and I am in a bind . I took one of my other tanks new filter bags that I use on my aqua clear and cut it open and took the carbon from that and added it to a new filter for the tank that was stinking and hopefully it clears it up and takes that smell away . I would not waste your money on this garbage . All there other products I’ve been happy with . But this product sucks and does not work

Ordered this to help with some tank issues in my 60 gallon cichlid tank. So far its working great.
