Peterson Small Guide
Nice little guide book. Enough to know basics and not the full book to be bulky.

Doesn't everyone need a butterfly book? This one is great! it's a wonderful way to look up and identify your butterflies and mother. Pictures are great also.

Beginner's guide
Compact guide for the beginner, with good illustrations. No maps, but there is mention of the range for each butterfly. Inexpensive. A great first guide for a youngster or beginner of any age.

It’s a Peterson Guide!
Peterson guidebooks are the gold standard. I wish I had all of them!

Love it, just small
It’s a smaller book but it’s super helpful for visually identifying a species. I wish there was more as far as each ones information but otherwise 10/10

guide
This will work great for the grand kids to identify butterflies they find. Good drawings work better than photos.

looks like a dollar tree product
not saying I was going for the best but better then this my local dollar tree would have it in stoch but the images are so nice and the content of it is good but I can't help but feel stupid holding this book as it's less then what I thought don't have high expectations it's not that nice but it dose what it does

Concise and precise
This book describes many butterflies, their families in few words and in a short space so one can quickly grasp how to identify so many fascinating kinds of butterflies.

Great little pocket guide!
Really nice book for anyone who is interested in moths and butterflies! I am very into entomology and have been slowly building up and entomology book collection and I’m very pleased to add this to my collection. The book is very small (pocket guide) and the information is fairly brief and easy to understand, but it’s definitely a great book for beginners and anyone who wants a refresher on common names of moths and butterflies. The graphics are very pretty, and clear to view. I do wish the binding wasn’t as stiff because it doesn’t stay open by itself at all. Overall great book for insect lovers! I think this book would be good for a kid to even adult age.

Partially useful
Good pictures but not divided into types

Great for kids as Intro book
I purchased it knowing that it would be small, but didn't anticipate the cheap quality of paper and photos. I would not recommend purchasing as a gift.

Butter Fly Book
I work in the woods and quite frequently we have butter flies and moths around and it is nice to try and find them in the book.
