CFS4 Pack Pleated 0.35 Sub-micron Post-Filter Cartridges for Whole House Water Filter Systems – Removes Bad Taste and Odor – White

I have a 6 year/6mil gal. Hahn system that uses this as it's post-filter. I've been spending $30 for one cartridge and was skeptical that I could get 4 of the same quality for the price of one. Well, I cut open the old one (which was really gross) and it appears to be the same material, same thickness as this one. The only difference is a plastic mesh cover layer over the name brand, but I'm not sure what impact that has on the performance. I'll tell you in 6 months when I replace the one I just installed. If something looks off, I'll update this review. But for now I'll give them the benefit of the doubt an rate it 5*****

they actually work like there suspose to. Very good Value for your money

I have no way of confirming if the particle 0.35 Sub-micron filtration level is the same for both this and the Aquasana post filter; but I am going to accept they are.The main difference (and hence the cost difference) between this and the Aquasana filter I have been using is; this filter addresses the particle filtration only, while the Aquasana post filters have a carbon element (for taste and other contaminants). So if you do NOT have additional carbon filtration in your house for drinking water, I expect will notice a difference flavor wise. (I "think" I do notice a change in flavor even with additional drinking water filtration in my house when I made the switch to these... but that could be my "projecting" a difference... )

If you Hava an Aquasana system these are good.

I have an Aquasana Rhino whole house filter setup with pre and post filters. It is an older Rhino system with the transparent housings, which I like because I can see the condition of the filter. The new filters I received are not the same as the older Aquasana filters. See included photos for differences. The replacement filters I received have the same overall height as the older Aquasana, but the older Aquasana design has slightly lower shoulders on the ends, so it fits better in its housing. See photos. Not having this step around the edge of the ends on the replacement makes it too tall to fit comfortably in the older housing, and when tightened down it crushed the filter a bit, which can be seen in the unevenness of the folds in the photo. I tried very hard to make sure I had aligned the upper hole of the filter with the pipe. The old Aquasana also has a netting around the outside - not sure what it added, but it has been removed in the newer design, In the photos the older Aquasana filter ends are red, the newer replacement ends are blue. Given these differences, I cannot be sure if the replacement will perform as well as the older one, but as it is the new Aquasana design for their new housings, so I guess I am stuck with it. I called their customer support line and they said they should fit OK. To me but the crushing of the filter is still a concern. When I replace the filter I will see how it did. Overall I am happy with the Rhino system as it has taken our lousy tasting town water and made it as good as any bottled water.

I just installed this filter and noticed signifcant drop in the water pressure compared to the OEM filter. Will not buy again.

Used this as my first filter replacement in my aquasana whole house system. Almost immediately the house smelled like sulfur again. You get what you pay for! No micron rated stamp like the original, I highly doubt it’s accurately rated .35 microns. I’ll be sticking to aquasana brand from now on.

4 pack was delivered on time, getting more expensive every year, but to be expected. Package came in a sealed box, one filter had been damaged with a knife, a cut could be seen through the plastic seal, and through the filter media. Seller was quick to respond, although they had no replacement, they did refund me for the cost of 1 filter +20%. Would by from them again based off of their response. Workers at their packing plant just need to be more careful during packing.
