Swagtron Swagger 8 Folding Electric Scooter for Kids & Teens

BUYER BEWARE-I am very saddened by the customer service we received by this company!! Not 1x but 2x! We purchased a scooter less than 6 months ago from my son for Christmas, It arrived in January and after the expected dates- once assembled we noticed a broken piece! Instead of sending us the part they req we return the scooter- which we did, leaving my son lover without it!! We finally received it sometime in February! When Not long after we went on Quarantine and because my older son was in the hospital we were not aloud out and my sone was not allowed to ride - now that we are just into phase one of getting back to some normalcy I allow my son to ride his scooter - but to our dismay it has an error code and it is no longer working 😭 I contacted Swagtron repair dep and Was flabbergasted by the exorbitant amount of $$$ they wanted to repair it,and to top it off it is more money than we actually paid for the scooter! At first I was like just going to buy another one but ultimately decided that I am not going to give more $$$$ to a company whose product doesn’t even last 6 months and technically less since it was barely used. RaeFUSE to do business with a company that treats its customers like this especially kids!! I understand you have a 90 day warranty but considering that we already had to return it once -I would have been more than happy to pay something but we were quoted over $200 and I only paid $179????Seriously disappointed customer,

Beware do not subject yourself to the aggravation. 2 scooters and one was worth the. The other.First one arrived as a holiday gift for my 7 year old girl. Damaged out of the box immediately had it replaced. The throttle button in the handle bar was damaged so the scooter did not work properly. At least I was able to exchange.Second one lasted a couple months without issue. Ultimately, the charger and or battery stopped working. Wouldn’t take a charge. Light on charger would stay green and stopped turning red which meant it was charging.Tried reaching out to customer service and it only took a week for them to tell me the “warranty” expired and I was in the hook for whatever repairs were necessary along with shipping there and back.Just going to cut my losses, throw it in the trash where it belongs.

I bought this scooter for Christmas for my 10 year old son, which he is well within the age and weight specifications. After using the scooter for approximately 8 to 9 times the unit will not remain on and function properly. The battery seems fully charged but the control display continues to shut off. If and when the units stays on long enough to activate the motor it will not disengage the motor after releasing the throttle. I have attempted to contract the manufacturer and they offer to fix it for $89 plus parts. This is actually pretty insulting and in unacceptable. This is a crap product, made by a CRAP company. I would not recommend buying this pile of Chinese garbage.CRAP PRODUCTCRAP SERVICECRAPPY PRICEDO NOT BUYAmazon needs to remove this item from their store.

Definitely would not buy this electric scooter again if you're gonna buy your kids a more high quality scooter I would make sure that it has tubes instead of just the full rubber tires then they are able to ride on rougher surfaces a lot smoother and it's not nearly as bumpy plus when they crash because they will crash the throttle and brake are only held on by one Allen screw so I already had to take a zip tie and zip tie the throttle into place for my daughter and then the front steering arm bearing seems to be seizing up when you turned to the left so every time she turned to the left now it sticks and I think when you pay this kind of money you shouldn't have those type of issues so I would definitely recommend looking around at other scooters around this price and reading their reviews to find a better quality scooter even though I put the battery life was a very good on this is seen to be pretty good

This is a high quality, great priced scooter.I bought it for my son birthday last week.this is great choice to tool around town and have fun.It is super easy for him to control and with the 3 speeds he can easily keep up with us.

I got the scooter for my 9 year old son and he really loved it. We didn't get to use it much due to the winter months, but when we had a few good days we took it out and it was smooth, fast, and a joy to ride. It was so great that our neighbor bought one too. The neighbor's scooter died after about 2-3 weeks of very light use. Then ours died too.It went from being perfect to not turning on at all without any warning. Now reading the reviews it seems like many people have this issue, so it must be a manufacturing defect. It seems to be happening to all of them. I got the return authorization, but now I'm wondering if I even want to try another one. You do have to pay for shipping both ways when sending the scooter back and getting another.Too bad because I thought this little scooter was great when it was working. I would have easily rated it 5 stars in all categories. : (UPDATE: We sent the first one back and they replaced with a brand new one. Unfortunatley 15 minutes into the first ride it lost power and now suffers the same problems the first one did. It will not charge or turn on at all. So we are sending back and trying to get a refund. : (Again, we love this little scooter and if it worked I'd gladly give it 5 stars. It's obvious now that there is something fundamentally wrong with this model and they need to either pull it from the line or fix whatever is going on.
