The fact that you are here now, it means that you are looking for a better way to trade the market. Whether you are already trading the market or are planning to do so, itโs clear that you are searching for a good book that can help you achieve success easily and make trading better. Itโs true isnโt it? And thereโs nothing to hide because I have been in your shoes when I started and I totally understand it. While the market is random, you know that repeatable patterns exist in the market, donโt you? And because human behaviours โ like fear and greed โ exist, then you should also believe that price and price patterns represents the very same behaviours in the financial market. Sooner or later, you will also agree that understanding price patterns in the market place will be a great option to help you improve your trading. With that, I would like to invite you to explore the idea of trading price action pullbacks at the start or as you continue your trading journey. โSometimes the best things are just right in front of you.โ Believe it or not, you see price pullbacks almost every time you open your price chart because it is inevitable that price is cycling and pulling back and forth all the time. However, many traders do not see it. That just goes to show that humans (including traders) can be so engrossed in their own thing that they often fail to see the obvious that is right in front of them. While this book is primarily about pullbacks, this is also my way of breaking down information from what seems to be bulky blocks into little absorbable chunks and building them back into useful resources. By breaking the process down, you are able to spot the various clues in the market easily. The more clues you find, the more likely that you have a successful trade. At the same time, never forget the bigger picture when trading. Since the big guns are the one with the deepest pocket, it makes sense to keep track of who those market leaders are. By keeping track, I donโt mean searching for the tradersโ information. Instead, I am referring to understanding what and how price is reacting to certain challenges in the market. In fact, the more you understand price action, the easier you can spot the leader. Trading price action pullbacks can be very profitable if done correctly. Hence, I hope to show you a variety of pullback patterns and hopefully you can use that as a starting point to fine tune your own trading. Learning to trade is a journey. However, once you built a solid foundation, the rest of the journey should be easier. Also, it is profitable trading pullback if it is congruent with your trading beliefs. Hence, I hope to explain how, why and when trading pullbacks works. More importantly, you should also understand how, why and when they do not work. Ps. It's a relatively short book to ready but make no mistake, there is some meat in it. Got the paper copy btw. The author is to the point and does not spend endless pages talking about how much of a trading stud he is or dropping some Wall Street anecdotes. Learning to trade pullbacks properly is a must for anyone aspiring to get the upper hand on Wall Street. I am confident this book will help you firm up your game. It's not the last word on pullbacks trading but all the basics are very well covered and in my opinion the trading set-ups discussed are sound. Great job. I will more than likely give a shot at another of the authors book. Review: Excellent - Solid information. Iโve been studying charts for almost a year and learned a lot. Just great to add new thoughts and knowledge. Helped me refine my trading plan on the first pullback. The author is very authentic. The book is well written and charts come up well. My thanks to the author.

Helpful and worth reading
As the title implies, this book discusses in great detail different types of pullbacks and how to identify them on the charts. There are charts that clearly show the examples of what he is discussing. Even on a kindle, the charts were clear and easy to read. He really did a good job explaining how the ideas he was discussing played out on the charts (pointing out entry and exit points). I found the information to be helpful. Unlike many trading books, this book doesn't have any filler chapters where the author goes on and about how his method is the best and the rest are stupid and blah blah blah. He got right into the discussion of pullbacks. Another reviewer mentioned how the author tried to sell a trading course on his website but that is misleading. The only discussion of his website was in the last chapter of the book, after all of the author's points had been made. His website was not mentioned in the discussion of pullbacks at all.

Nice book
This is an important book on a very important subject in technical short term trading. The book does emphasize the importance of pullback and I think its a good book. But, the book may give you the impression you can stop your journey of education in short term trading. This is not true. The pullback is not the ultimate tool. My 2 cents.. master the range! The bread and butter of short term trading is the RANGE! The trend is a bounce. Anyone can trade the trade.. but 85% of the time the market is in range. And a retail trader needs to bring money every day! And if you will accept the common thinking the range market is a choppy market you will give up mastering the main state of the markets. If you master the range.. you by definition ride the trend in his initial state.

Introducing a Great trading teacher!
Finally a trading book that is an excellent first step in the right direction. If you're tired of searching for a system to use in your trading then grab a hold of Secrets of Trading the First Pullback as a first step to solving your problem. Pullbacks occur in the market on a daily basis and Alwin does an exceptional job of taking you step by step through the complete process. While the book is a fantastic first step, no trading book will or has EVER taught you a complete method. Try one on Flying....Golf.....Heart Surgery. You need more than just reading. Even the best in sports have coaches and mentors. Let Alwin Ng take care of you. Sure he directs you to the course material on his site. The course is wildly inexpensive for what you get and he does a first class job of meticulously filling in the blanks that couldn't possibly be covered in the book. Having been a pullback trader for some time now it certainly gave me some immediate and actionable changes I could make to improve my win ratio. Believe me, you'll read a lot of advice from many in other books but what you get in Secrets of Trading the First Pullback is great first step, even if you never take the course, that will take care of you for the rest of your trading life.

Easy Read
I try to read at least 1-2 trading books a week and on most of them I pull something out of them that I can fit into my style of trading. I have read some books that you knew the author was very knowledgeable about the subject but just didn't know how to get it across to you in writing. This book is well put together and informative and presents trading pullbacks in a very readable format.

Excellent confirmation
If youโre looking for that missing ingredient in your trading, this book is for you. The only reason I didnโt give it five stars was because there were a few grammatical errors. Aside from that, if you want to learn how to get in โriderโ trades and understand how effective pullbacks can be, you need to read this book. Itโs an easy, short, worthwhile addition to your trading education.

Great book!
Lots of valuable tips presented in a very logical and organized way. Really enjoyed it. It helps you assess something that we often take for granted ie the type of pullback it is, sharp, shallow, deep etc and what that actually means. Great little book

Very good small book
Small book, aboit 100 pages and this was what i needed, because lomg books like 500 and 700 pages books can be challenging. Although many reviews say that you can find the same content free on internet, you cannot find it well organized, well explained and from a trusted source. I finished the book through 2 times reading, and i fully understood a pullback, and it helped me correct many habits and thoughts. This a very good book, fast reading, and it can be used as tutorial each time you need it. Read on Kindle

Excellent book well worth five stars
I've been trading for almost three years and can honestly say I've read every book and done multiple courses on the financial markets. There is a minefield of information on this subject that can send you running around in circles for months if not years trying different strategies and systems. I'm now at the point where I don't buy many new books on trading and am simply trying to apply and hone my skills based on years of trial and error. The author of this book describes traders like me as being at the "Conscious Competence" stage of my trading apprenticeship. In his words "Conscious Competence - This is where the real trading development begins because at this stage, you have learnt enough. By enough I mean there is sufficient knowledge inside you to keep yourself going and you consciously choose to stop learning until necessary". That said when I stumbled across this book on Amazon the previous reader reviews sparked my interest. Also the title of this book aligned itself with the style of trading I have decided to focus on. This review is already starting to ramble and I dont want to simply repeat what has already been said by previous reviews so in conclusion this book has been add to my top five best books I have read on the subject. The author pulls no punches and tells it how it is. Trading is NOT EASY or a way to get rick quick. It's a career and needs to be respected as such. You wouldn't expect to become a dentist of doctor overnight and you should not expect to become a successful trader overnight. On the practical side this book does a great job explaining how the real markets operate in plain English.
