The finish is beautiful.
I discovered this powder on YouTube when it was compared to Make Up Forever's HD powder. The makeup guru in the video recommended the ELF powder over the MUF and I heartily agree. The MUF powder is $35 or so whereas the ELF brand contains the same amount of product and costs $6!!. In my opinion, both products perform the exact same way. I like the fact that the ELF powder is sheer and adds no color to my base makeup. It blends in seamlessly and helps my makeup last all day. The ELF product contains powdered silicone and silica and causes no irritation to my sensitive skin. I use an oil control toner, a matte sunscreen and a mattifying primer, which helps to control shine. The ELF powder sets my makeup beautifully, providing a soft focus finish that looks really natural. I only wish that it came in a pressed form, which would be more handy for touch ups. I used to use Urban Decay's Naked loose powder, which is $34 and contains even less product than the MUF. The UD powder is tinted however. And while I still use it occasionally, I recently purchased two ELF HD powders on Amazon because I am truly impressed with the product. And like I've said, there's a lot of product in the ELF container, which makes it doubly economical. I would swear that the MUF and ELF powders have exactly the same ingredients. Both leave my face soft and smooth. I use the ELF powder over Armani Luminous foundation or Bare Minerals Bare Skin and it provides a flawless finish. Tinted powder changes the color of my base makeup somewhat, which I don't always want. I only use the remaining UD powder when I'm going out at night (I have to use it up, it was expensive!). I also use the ELF setting spray, which I like a lot. Like it promises, the ELF powder doesn't sink into fine lines. It isn't quite a matte finish, however. But with the other products I use, it seems to help control most of the oiliness that breaks through by the end of the day. I can always use blotting papers if necessary. I keep some of the powder in my makeup bag for touch ups. I also like the ELF lip exfoiliator, which works really well and contains sugar granules. I purchased the ELF powder on Amazon because my local Target was out of stock. Thankfully, the Amazon Prime price was the same as Target with free shipping too. On the ELF website, they charge $6 or $7 for shipping unless you spend more than $25 (and I didn't need anything else) so Amazon had the best price. All in all, I really like this product and like the makeup guru whose review I saw, I heartily recommend it.

Always Satisfied
I don't know why some of these reviews are saying it is too "glittery". I don't have that problem, at least with the translucent, and have been buying this same product for the last 10 years (maybe more, not sure anymore!) since I first I saw it in a store before it was available online. Will always use it and recommend it.I primarily use the translucent so that may be why. Sets the finish perfectly. Since I started using it all those years ago, I always get the compliment that my face is "flawless". I can use it with just a tinted moisturizer, a Cc or BB cream, and my foundation without it being "cakey".The luminous pod does have a glitter effect to it but there's a reason and you're not supposed to use much. My advice? If you don't want too much glitter, use less and only put in the areas you want to highlight rather than your whole face. Any makeup artist will tell you - lighter colors bring things forward and darker colors push things back. It's a trick of the light and the eye that makes the difference. I have a super dark birthmark on the side of my face that people have always said "you need to blend your makeup in". You'd never know it was there now thanks, in part, to this.If you just want the matte finish with the flawless look, always go with the translucent. Make sure to read the description as well - works best with a full coverage foundation. I use Phoera, which is absolutely AMAZING stuff & requires very little to be effective. It's my perfect combination.I haven't tried the yellow powder yet as my complexion is lighter. Purple and yellow are opposites on the color wheel, so I advise using the yellow to cancel out any undesired purple areas of a lighter face - like bruises or under eye circles - if your complexion is lighter.Like anything, it'll take practice to see what combination works best for your makeup regiment and complexion. I'd advise getting all 3 and play around with them to figure what'll work best for you. I plan to buy the yellow soon to test it out.The picture I attached is without a filter. All I'm wearing is my Tinted moisturizer and the translucent powder.

Happy with this product.
It has a slight glittery quality. However, it’s an affordable option and serves as an adequate powder. The glitter is not very noticeable unless there is a flash for photos or you are in bright sunlight. The powder feels very light on and provides a very pretty finish, glitter and all. You really don’t need to use much. I do wish it lasted a bit longer though. I noticed that I would have to retouch after a few hours but it is small a portable enough. Overall, I’m happy with this product.

Shiny Finishing Powder, Minimal Oil Control
It's a lightweight finishing powder. But that's about it. At this price point, I shouldn't be complaining but honestly it wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for oil control for sunscreen, but I don't wear makeup. This product definitely was meant to be used with makeup. It has sparkles so you look a little like Edward up close. Does minimal work on sunscreen shine. It doesn't feel like you put anything on but it also doesn't last too long because I was shiny again a few hours later. Can't get mad because it was just $6 but was expecting more oil control.TLDR: Lightweight powder meant to be used with makeup. Minimal oil control on skin and sunscreen.

Great
Wonderful product and brand. I was paying $40 for years for the higher name brand and this works just as beautifully. “Fair” was the previous name brand color for reference.

Great price
I like Elf products and this didn't disappoint foe the price. Does not settle into lines. I will buy again. I wish it came in a pinker tone. But this was still nice.
