My glass mugs did not have sharp edges (previously noted). The handle opening is large and accommodates bigger hands. I am very pleased with these glass mugs. I would order them again. Additionally, we have run these through the dishwasher, heating liquids in the cup to boiling (from room temperature), and used/abused them for 2 months.
