PERRIN License Plate Relocate Kit Compatible with Subaru WRX / STI 2015 - 2017, Impreza 2012 - 2016, and 2013-2017 Crosstrek

This is personally my favorite license plate relocation kit of the ones available for my car.It is easy to install, sturdy, and proven strong against potential road damage (mine kept its structural shape and integrity after being struck by a loose tire tread on the highway).Looks great, which allows, in my opinion, for a cleaner front end look.The distance the license plate is held out by the mount from the bumper is somewhat adjustable during or after installation, using their provided washers, if you want slightly more of a gap between the two.I suggest DO use the anti seize that comes with the kit to prevent the base bolt post from possibly getting stuck and/or breaking off in the front tow hook spot where it screws into.Originally ordered and installed this in early spring of 2019, and it's held up and still in good shape. Would definitely buy this Perrin kit again.

So I originally gave a terrible review, because the dealership I purchased my wrx from told me they would install a kit like this for me. Well once this came in the mail, I took it in there and they "attempted" to install it.Unfortunately for me they must employ 3rd graders in there. They have me this whole explanation about how the bolts were to short and could not securely fasten it blah blah.. So I went to send this back and left a terrible review. At the same time I contacted Perrin directly. They are AMAZING! The customer service they provided was exceptional and they walked me through the whole process. While it's a very simple install, I've picked up a wrench twice in my life so the support was awesome!The dealership literally was trying to install it upside down! This product is fantastic and fits perfectly! Highly recommended!

After my awesome dealership drilled crooked holes into my bumper, I needed to find an alternative as it is a requirement in NY to have a front plate.The Perrin kit is perfect. Sturdy and easy to install. Looks good and provides a good amount of clearance between the plate and the car (I used 2 spacers).

Will not thread on a 2016 WRX

I live is a state that requires a front plate. The dealer will drill two holes in your bumper and mount a plate with their name frame, then call it a day. I wouldn't let them do this to my vehicle. The frame and plate dig into the paint and deface the car, not to mention the extra holes. I looked at several kits trying to find one that wouldn't scratch up the car or require drilling. I bought one of the kits that includes rubber grommets with brass inserts and a plastic mount. While this lets you use the existing JDM plate holes, part of the mount still contact the car. I ultimately decided on a relocation kit that does not contact the car in any way. The price of the kits are ridiculous for what they are and the function they perform, but if you don't want holes or scratches, this is the way to go. Again, the prices for all of them is absurd. Is one better than the other, no. Others claim the GrimmSpeed is one of the best because it has greater adjustability, but the Perrin is more than adequate and is almost 18% less expensive. The least expensive is the TurboXS, (its identical to the GS) but they are on the east coast and shipping to the other side of the country is prohibitive. The Perrin... quality is evident and as far as looks go, if you must have a front plate, the Perrin will do the job nicely.

After Amazon twice sent me the wrong item, I went to Rally Sport Direct to purchase this. Install was straightforward, and I appreciate that Perrin includes the correct allen key for the plate screws. You will need a socket wrench with standard SAE sizes to complete the install. Looks great on my 2017 STi. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to prevent the dealer from screwing into my bumper, but this is a much more secure and aesthetically pleasing mounting option.

Good quality, went on easy. It came with a bunch of washer's to adjust the depth or length, depends on how you want to look at it. It also came with a PERRIN license plate frame and hex head screws to attach your license plate with washers and a hex key and sticker package for those who like stick on horsepower... Fitment on my 2015 Subaru STI was perfect. I would highly recommend this for your car, don't waste the money on more expensive ones.

Solid construction and easy to install. Used a torque wrench, but hand tightening will work. It follows the curvature of the bumper without rubbing. The offset looks nice for those that need a front plate like in CA. Simply plug and play. 2015 STI.
