Recommended for Omnivores/Meat-eaters, believe it or not...
"Oh no, it's another one of those grass eating hippie products that leaves you frail and emaciated!"... is how some people react when they see the word "vegan" on a product. Face it, there is a stigma related to the word vegan, and it's unfounded. Being a vegan is hard discipline (not the urge to resist meat or animal based products, but rather to eat correctly and get everything you need.) Some "vegans" become unhealthy because they just try to stop eating meat and animal-based products without doing the proper research and eating the right things. The reason I put vegans in quotes is because they are NOT vegans, but they are the ones that give the stigma to the word. I am not a vegan, I am a vegetarian due to dietary restriction, but I do appreciate the work and effort that goes into getting a proper diet as a vegan. For those of you that are vegans or nutritional experts, you don't need me to tell you that this product is a no-brainer, you know nutrition far better than I do. Apparently there have been studies that have shown these multivitamins are not absorbed by the body (meaning excrete them out). What I take away from this is, they are too hard to digest, and that which does, they are chemicals that your body has no idea what to do with it. I remember when I was taking them, I could miss an entire two weeks and not feel any different. This multivitamin on the other hand, while it under-goes some kind of process to get it in pill form, come from plants, fruit, and veggie sources. Things that you naturally eat, your body can digest, and knows how to use them efficiently (kind of encoded in our DNA after thousands of years). After I started these vitamins I can feel a difference. My body feels better, I feel better mentally, and I seemingly get sick less often. The only draw-back that I've found with this product is it uses vitamin D2 as opposed to D3 (which is derived from non-vegan sources). D3 is more efficiently used than D2 by the body (from what I've read). I just started recently supplementing D3 to improve on my crummy mood, and I can honestly say my mood has improved. I admit this could totally be a placebo effect, but if you start taking this, or generally feel like you're in a rut, try D3.... everybody is different, it might work, it might not. I invite you to research these claims I've made yourself before purchasing.Summary (tl;dr): Vegans, Vegetarians, and Omnivores alike will benefit from taking this product. Yes, it costs slightly more than your Centrum/One-a-day's and generic equivalents, but it's worth it to see if what I'm claiming is true at least once. If it is, you'll effectively find out that you've spending 4-8 bucks on vitamins that probably do very little for you. If no difference, you have my sincerest apology, and you might as well go back to your regular ones.

Rich in B vitamins and Iron
Originally I purchased this vitamin for my daughter who wanted gelatin-free vitamins. Due to taking anti-depressants she was told by her doctor to refrain from taking this vitamin due to a proprietary blend that left a question mark as to how it might interact with her medication. Since I had just had to stop taking another brand due to a medication I'm taking containing grape seed extract (this product doesn't have it...), I decided to take these in place of my old vitamin. So far, I'm pleased.--------------------------------------SIZE and TASTE:Not particularly large by comparison to the Opti-Women's vitamins I was taking, I've had no issues swallowing one of these pills per day. They are hard and could be cut with a pill cutter if needed to make them smaller. They might taste bad to some people who have them in their mouths for long enough to let them start to melt, but I've noticed no bad taste with them.STOMACH ISSUES:I have ulcerative colitis and thus many things upset my GI tract. I have not noticed this vitamin being any worse than any other multi-vitamin I've taken in the past in this area, but I do take it with a meal to prevent upset.IRON INCLUDED:You can get 100% of your recommended Iron by taking this vitamin. I like that, but it could be an issue for some who either don't want to take iron supplements or find it upsets their stomach.1666% of RECOMMENDED B-12:Wow! That's a lot, but not if you are someone who needs an energy boost due to chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia (which I've dealt with for 17 years). In addition to this multivitamin I take a supplemental bit of B-12 (2500mcg to 5000mcg a day).YOU MAY WANT MORE OF THESE:Not 100% on all fronts, users of this product may want to supplement further if they want more of these. There is Biotin (25%), Calcium Carbonate (10%), Zinc (73%), Magnesium (10%) and Copper (10%) in one dose of these vitamins.---------------------------------------------------I love that you get two bottles - enough for one person for 6 months taken as a daily dose - in this package. It's an inexpensive way to support a healthy immune system and energy production with a multi-vitamin rich in B vitamins. It's also a good choice for those who are anemic to get the recommended dose of iron along with the B vitamins in a single dose. I think vegans and non-vegans can both reap benefits from taking this multi-vitamin once a day, and save money too. I recommend it!
