Shockingly Amazing Quality for the $$.
After first having purchased and used a similar DeWalt brand mitre saw, I figured this saw wouldnât meet my high quality expectations that the DeWalt easily delivers. However, much to my pleasant surprise, everything about this saw is rock solid quality and easy to use. I figured it to be more of a bargain brand that would have plastic parts and a cheaper feel that my DeWalt, but I was proved wrong, as my TackLife compound sliding mitre saw was every bit as high quality.Iâm only a weekend warrior DIYâer, and not a construction trade professional, so having the so-called off-brand is fine and surprisingly very confidently just as functional and in some ways even better than my DeWalt. For instance, the laser guide (not an option on my DeWalt) was something I thought might be more fun than perfectly helpful, but in fact it worked so precisely that I found it quicker to line up boards and my cuts with very exact - so I efficiency and confidence using it.My only very minor complaint between my DeWalt and the TackLife is when you pull the trigger to start the blade, with the DeWalt, you get instantaneous full power; but the TackLife revs up to full power in say 3 seconds or so. Nothing to really complain about.Overall, Iâm extremely pleased with the TackLife saw and see myself using it as my âgo toâ mitre saw whenever needed.

You get what you pay for, and a little more
This saw is cheap for the features you get. For that reason, fit and finish suffer a little. It doesn't seem as solid or finished as a comparable saw from the big box store brand (My experience was with Kobalt).Pros: good variety of features, comes with 3 blades, laser guide was accurate, positive stops hold your angle (as long as it is 45, 30, 22.5, 15, or 0), blade stayed true to the angle during my use, fairly light weight, good cutting radiusCons: included blades are lower end quality, thumb screws are over-utilized (slide stop, clamp, and table extensions), chip/dust bag is almost completely useless (it collected around 10% of the dust for a whole project), saw takes a couple seconds to reach full speed, the angle lock does not hold very tight (allows movement between positive stops), I had to take a fine file to a couple table edges to clean them up and make sure I didn't cut myself on them. This is a decent saw, especially for the price. However, you do get what you pay for. I would purchase this again as a hobby saw, but not for my shop at work.

What a surprise
As a novice DIY'er, I was hesitant in trying this brand, as I would normally lean towards the big boy brands. I am so glad I took the chance on Tacklife! The price was just right, also supplying 3 blades (unheard of) and the best part was that I was able to use it right out the box. The laser was on target, cut smoothly through my 3"Ă7" lumber, with minimal hand sanding on the edges for the included 40 tooth blade. Solid weight, not to heavy and not too light. Will definitely consider them again for other tools.

Pretty good miter saw. It will need some adjustments to become accurate.
For the price and what it includes, it is a pretty good miter saw. I have recently used it to install trim in one of my rooms and some trim around a fire place. I wish that the saw would lock in more securely to the common points (90, 45, 30, etc. once you reach one of those points, it can still move a little bit. You have to make sure the point is exactly on the line, then use the manual lock to keep it there. Once i figured that out, it was much easier to get the cuts I wanted. The laser took some adjusting, but i was able to get it to be accurate. I do wish the laser was the same thickness as the blade so no matter which side the line is on, it marked where the blade is going. As it is, i can only get it to mark one side accurately, but it is still nice to have. The included saw blades were okay. I have not used the 40T blade yet, but the first blade was a little bit warped. After I finished a cut, it would often nick the wood when I brought the blade back up if I did not move the wood.) I was able to swap it out with the other spare that it came with and that blade was much better. The included clamp works well. It would be nice to get two clamps, so it wouldn't have to be moved back and forth, but it sill makes cutting a lot safer and easier. I love the sliding feature. it has helped me cut many a board that my previous 10 inch (non sliding) saw could not. There is a depth adjustment on how far the blade is allowed to go down. Initially, mine was set too high so it was not cutting the board all the way down to the back (close to the fence.) Once I found those adjustment screws, I was able to get it to cut all the way. As another reviewer said, if you adjust the top half of your fence in, make sure you move it back when cutting angles or you may hit the fence. I kinda wish they made it not possible to hit it, but then you would be losing some freedom, so I guess that freedom comes with some responsibility. The way that the blade starts up slowly, takes a little getting used to but then it forces me to take a little bit of time to consider my cut before making it. It probably has helped me realize a mistake or two i was about to make. I do like the metal blade guard as most are plastic. It does feel a bit safer and gives the saw a higher quality look. Speaking of safety, you will definitely want to attach this saw to your surface. When you use the sliding feature, it becomes forward heavy and will tilt towards you. Fortunately, I found this out while i was testing the sliding mechanism and NOT running the blade. Final thoughts, I will say that this saw is probably not at the same level of quality as the more expensive and established brands, but at half the price, it grants you a lot of board cutting abilities that I believe make up for the short comings. I am happy with my purchase and will be using it for many DIY projects down the road.

Great for the price
Overall Iâm very happy with it. Iâve done trim work, framing, and assorted cuts. I found it difficult to get the wood 100% flush against the saw so some cuts were slightly diagonal. There were some cuts that werenât the cleanest. There was a little play in the saw that made my angled cuts not as precise as Iâd hoped. Could be that Iâm not a professional and my skill is average. Got the job done just fine and very well priced for what you get.
