good adaptation
I recommend this for any-one that's read the corresponding novel Vampire Hunter D Demon Deathchase by Hideyuki Kikuchi. The graphic novel follows the story well, as expected, the illustrations are top knotch, if a bit jumpy in some of the action sequences, then again that's to be expected when transferring descriptions of movements into a visual representaion. I sound like i didn't like it, I did, these are only tiny faults i found in certain places, that isn't to say that it is necessarily true or that it applies to the whole novel, it doesn't, it's only my own honest opinion, others may think differently of it, which is fine. All in all a good novel adaptation with fantastic artwork and great visual representations of the characters, spot on with them.

Okay Quality - Still Covered in Library Stickers
Not really sure what I expected from a used item which was described as a "Used Library Book".The book itself seems in good condition, no broken spine or dog ears.It still had all the library stickers on it, and even a stamp of the library it was liberated from. A few marks from a sharpie or other marker.Overall for the price, not bad at all.

One my favorites in the manga.
It was in great condition no complaints. It's one of my favorites because the movie vampire hunter d bloodlust is based around it.

sword, sorcery, science and D
Hideyuki Kikuchi's third book takes manga form through the skilled hands of artist Saiko Takaki. She takes the reader to the thirteenth millenia, where every human lives in fear of vampires. It is a land of sorcery, science and universal use of black eyeliner. Not to give too much away to those new to VHD, this manga's story is about a human girl that falls in love with a Noble (a.k.a. vampire) anyway, D gets hired to kill Mr. Pointy Teeth and the story goes from there. Throw is some rival hunters... including someone to fill the 'hot-yet-troubled-chick' archetype that is present in all of Kikuchi's work. Be sure to see a number of mutant villains to spice everything up.The borderline porno sexuality is greatly reduced in this volume. Also the stern character of D is accuratley portrayed. However, as is to be expected from the medium used to portray the story, no inner conflict is perceptable behind the icy exterior of D.All in all i give it five stars because amazon will not allow 4.5. it misses a perfect 5 because all of the faces look very similar, including in relation to the past two volumes, to each other.

It's perfect!
Alot newer than I thought it was going to be, I was only missing 3 and 4, and I'm so glad I was able to finally find them for less than $100. It even came with a free zelda comic, another one of my favorite series.
