Hotronic Heating Elements with Self-Adhesive Fabric Covers

Noticed a few days ago that the wires had pulled out of my wife's ski boot warmer. Dang, new warmers are expensive. Fortunately, Hotronic has this heating elements that replace the ones that were broken for a much more reasonable price than replacing the whole unit. Installation was pretty straightforward.

Works really great but the wires break. After the first pair I bought they lasted one season and the wires split. Second pair I put electrical tape on them. I’m on my third pair now because of new boots and I taped them up. Still using the same batteries.Al

Used for skiing about 14 days a year, about 5 years, a real life-saver! But the wire on one boot apparently broke, so I had to buy the set of two. I guess I'll have a spare for the next time one breaks.

These replaced the ones I got 5 years ago. Those were not installed properly by the ski shop, so over timethe wires got frayed. Easy to install (see Youtube) and keep my feet warmer than without them.

Great product and you can extend its lifespan by wrapping the wire and plug in black electrical tape to give the factory wire additional resiliency. I say this because my original pair stopped working because pinch points in my ski boots severed the wire. By wrapping the entire wire in electrical tape and double wrapping where the pinch points are I think you could extend the life of these heating elements indefinitely.

After 3-4 years of use, the original system's wires and fittings split and the heaters no longer worked (the batteries seemed fine). This was a low-cost replacement for the heaters that go in the foot pads and they are compatible with the original battery.

The plug split after first use this season. The same thing happened to my previous hotronic heaters, but at least that pair lasted 2 seasons before the plug broke. Super annoying considering the work you have to do to set up the heating element and run the wire.

We purchased new heating elements this season and 2 months in one of them has stopped working after cracking and losing a pin. 3/4 of the heating element have also cracked but not lost pins yet….

Excellent, easy to fit and keep your feet from getting cold, wouldn't be without them now. Connectors not as robust as they could be, a little care needs to be taken when packing away.
