Cricut Cuttlebug A2 Embossing Folder, Snowflakes

I've been using this folder a lot for my holiday cards. I usually do my backgrounds with a patterned paper plus a wide strip of embossed solid card stock. Some embossing patterns, particularly snowflakes, are spaced too widely to be that useful for a 2"-3" wide piece of card. THIS folder, however, contains enough smaller snowflake images that it works beautifully for a narrower band.I usually emboss this onto plain white stock then hit it with a little pearlescent transparent ink; or emboss directly onto pearlescent stock; or emboss onto dark blue stock and brush lightly with silver metallic ink. You get the ideal. Works great with white-core blue stock, too -- emboss, then sand lightly to reveal the white snowflakes on the darker blue background.I use a Sizzix Big Shot die-cutter/embosser, and these Cuttlebug folders work just fine.

Even though this came from a 3rd party, it was received in time for making cards this holiday season. This is actually a replacement folder for me, as this was one of the first folders that I ever owned. I needed the replacement, as the first one was "appropriated" for use by a jewelry making friend of mine, who had to have it to make brass & copper charms and earrings!

I had a difficult time finding this embossing folder both online and at my local craft stores, probably in part because it was around the winter holiday time, and it was a popular item. I also like that the snowflakes are quite close together, so you get a nice representation on your paper.

Along with my Big Shot, this is probably one of my favorite emobssing folders. I ran some vellum and cardstock through with this folder and used a sharpie marker (silver, gold) to highlight a few snowflakes. Beautiful! Can't wait to create some more homemade cards and tags!

As with all Cuttlebug folders, this one is nice and works easily. Love the product, looking forward to add more to my collection. This one is nice for making Christmas cards or layouts related to a snow theme. I use this one a lot during this time of the year.

This is a good all around winter embossing folder. Have used it many times.
