Summer Deluxe Piddle Pad, Black

I purchased 3 carseat liners to test them myself. The Britax Seat Saver Waterproof liner, the Summer Infant total coverage car piddlepad and the Summer infant deluxe piddle pad. I put them on our high chairs, poured 1/4 cup water on each of them and waited 5 minutes to see what would happen. The Britax soaked in all the water, but the bottom side was totally dry. The Summer infant deluxe piddle pad came in 2nd, while it soaked in some of the water some stayed beaded up on top of the fabric. None leaked through the bottom. Finally, the Summer total coverage piddlepad came in last. None of the liquid soaked through, it all stayed beaded up on top. So if it was urine, taking a kid out of the seat it would have run all over and still made a mess. No liqud soaked through the fabric so I can't really say if the bottom liner is waterproof or not. We are returning both summer piddle pads and purchasing more of the Britax for both of our cars.FYI if you are considering the summer piddle pads, they are exactly the same size (though one advertises extra large waterproof protection). The same pattern is used to make both pads. The Britax has the most coverage out of all 3 models. I hope that helps!

Well this didn't work for us at all. My 2 year old is potty training and had a little accident in her carseat. It went right through and soaked her carseat cover which will now have to be washed.

When we started potty training our two year old, I immediately looked for something that would save us in the event of an accident in the car. I came upon this item and love it. It couldn't be any easier to place in the seat. You just pull the buckle through the hole and you're ready to go. If it gets dirty, just throw it into the washer and air dry. THe best part is how absorbent this piddle is with liquids. My son has urinated, spilled water, and sat in a wet swimsuit in the piddle and yet it absorbs it all. An added bonus, if you slow your children to eat in the car and their seat gets dirty, this protects the seat off and you don't have to take the whole car seat apart to clean the seat.Best buy and bang for your buck. It makes your life easier.

This wasnt what we expected. It is an okay protection to the carseat and stroller but pee goes through the whole and the absorbency is not great. It just doesnt prevent the carseat or stroller from getting wet, I have to put a prefold cloth diaper (burp cloth) on top of this and then it works. It's an okay waterprof barrier but it really doesnt absorb much and liquid will go through the side and the hole.

My child is rear facing, somewhat reclined. After an accident in the car seat using this product, I am left with the chore if disassembling and washing the seat upholstery.

I thought this was great until my second child came along and actually had more than one accident in the car.....she managed to soak her car seat EVERY SINGLE TIME. This product was totally useless unless you were hoping that it would somehow manage to remain mostly dry while directing 90% of your child's urine into their car seat. I can not emphasize enough how much I HATE THIS PRODUCT!!!! Also, it made my children hot in their car seats. I ended up folding a puppy pad and putting it underneath her- worked great and it was disposable. I highly recommend puppy pads now!!!

I use these in my toddlers’ carseats for two reasons: 1) For my potty training 3 yr old. He hasn’t had many accidents in his car seat, but I like having a buffer between him and the surface of the seat for easier cleaning.I don’t expect it to completely hold and contain all of the urine if he does have an accident, but simply to make it easier to clean him or have the ability for him to still sit in a relatively dry seat until we get home.2) I also have one in my 1 yr olds seat, who hasn’t started potty training yet, but is a terribly messy eater. With this seat insert, I can simply pull it out, shake the crumbs off and keep going.

I have 2 of these and am about to get a third one for my baby that is due in a few weeks. I have a 3 year old and a 16 month old. I love them! They have saved me from having to wash the entire carseat multiple times, especially when my 3 year old was potty training. I still use it for her cause accidents can still happen and when they do, I just take this pad out and throw it in the wash. Super easy! The only con really is that it does move around in the seat with my 3 year old because she moves around so much when getting into her seat. When I buckle her, I just pull it back into the right place underneath her and it's good to go. Not really a big deal. Overall, great product.

Brilliant product. My daughter has only had a couple of accidents but it never went through to the car seat

Lo compré para emergencias en carretera ya que hemos dejado el pañal. No ha sido "estrenado" pero espero proteja de orines sobre todo porque no se puede quitar la tela del carseat.. se siente tela como cálida donde se sienta y tipo hijito lo de abajo, se ve de buena calidad y si quedo bien en el carseat marca chicco

Es ideal para cuidar la sillas del coche cuando los niños empiezan en el entrenamiento para dejar el pañal, protege la silla de cualquier accidente. No les da calor, ni sudan. No es incomoda, ellos no se dan cuenta de que esta el protector.

No cumple su función al 100% ya que sí protege de pequeños accidentes, pero el orificio de en medio no está muy bien diseñado por lo que hay fugas. Por el precio se entiende, pero si quieren proteger bien su autoasiento, mejor invertir en uno de mejor marca.

It's a great seat protector but I wish it came up a little higher in the back because if there was an explosion it would prevent you from taking the whole actual chair apart to wash.
